A true "SS"... by SPiRiTRyyDER on 02/22/2010. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS3 AWD, Owned 2 years.

Pros: The front seats are very comfortable even on long rides for someone 6'4" like myself. It handles well in all weather types with the exception of deep icy snow with the stock 20" wheel/low profile tire combination. The unassuming yet handsome bodystyle makes a fantastic sleeper for the occasional hotrodder. Maintenance is very affordable. The sunroof can be used wide open at highway speeds with no wind buffeting. The factory Bose radio is fantastic and easy to control from the steering wheel. Checking the tire pressures is as easy as pushing a button.
Cons: The handling on imperfect roads is very low tech, albiet very good on smooth windy roads. Gas mileage is poor. Interior is full of budget plastic. The driving lights under the bumper tend to need replacement often if used.
Overall review: This vehicle is an excellent blend for someone who craves the performance of an ultra-sportscar, and wants the convenience of an suv. With 395 horsepower, the level of comfort, agility, reliability and performance is difficult to find at this price. It will turn any ride into a memorable event-especially for your passenger!

The Mustang Crusher by Mountain Man on 01/12/2010. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS1 AWD, Owned 2 years.

Pros: Great vehicle for style and performance. Always enjoy starting it up and going anywhere. Not for fuel economy, but perfect for a solid performance vehicle that will smoke Mustang GT's. Rides great and excellent handling response. Recomment to any true muscle car enthusiast. Since there are not many around, and most people are not familiar with it, it is great fun to blow someone away off the line or a highway speed. They don't see it coming!!
Cons: Only thing I have found wrong yet is the plastic piece on the left side of the drivers seat where the controls are. The brackets are not strong enough to support the driver's weight without breaking. Had to make adjustments.
Overall review: Great vehicle for anyone who wants a powerful and fun ride.

Bad Bowtie SS by JohnnyP on 04/07/2013. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS3 AWD, Owned 5 years.
Useful?
Pros: I own a 2008 Trailblazer SS. Let me tell you, it has the best of both worlds. The interior is very clean even with the "cheap" plastic panels. Heated leather seats, BOSE stereo, and a sunroof provides the driver with a bit of luxury. However, if your anything like myself, the driveability and performance is what you're really after. With the high-performance 400 horsepower LS2 small block engine, the sport tuned suspension straigh from the nurememberg ring, and the optional AWD, like i have, the SS provides great handling and acceleration. The vehicle is easy to work on..IF YOU EVER HAVE TOO!! The best part? Blowing past un-suspecting mustangs..even with 4 friends in the passanger seats!
Cons: Requires premium fuel..which is getting costly. Although i get between 16-20 mpg, and a best of 21 mpg depending in how much i can keep my foot out of the throttle.
Overall review: I love my SS, and i wouldn't trade it in for anything.
