2008 Soltice GXP convertable
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/19/2011.
Trim: 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
The GXP model goes like stink and is great fun. It has gobs of power and handles extremely well. It puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it. I've owned this car since I purchased it new in '08. My 1st new car was a '74 MGB convertable, and my GXP is what I would have hoped the MGB would have been 30 years later if it were still in production. (But the '08 Soltice was ahead of its time while '74 MGB was an old design for its.)
Cons:
Very little to dislike. Passenger side cup holder is very fragile and we had to have it replaced twice under warrenty. By being very careful, the last one has lasted 2+ years. Storage space is limted which is to be expected in a small sports car. A couple of things missing on the data system which really should be there: outside temp. & compass heading.
Overall review:
Great car. Advanced design. Fantastic value for the money. Can keep up with Porsche & BMWs cost 3X more.

2008 Silver Solstice
by jsnchrry on 11/20/2010.
Trim: 2008 Pontiac Solstice Convertible, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
I love the way the car handles and drives. The performance is great and since the car is so light it really scoots down the road. As for the top it goes down with ease unlike what some others have said. I love the way the interior is laid out and the radio is excellent.
Cons:
Very little trunk space and somewhat hard to get into. Both of these are minor issues and dont detract from my love of this car.
Overall review:
Just bought a silver 2008 Pontiac Solstice convertable with the base 2.4 engine. The car is definitely a head turner and looks amazing. The car looks great inside as well. Mine was equiped with ally rims with club sport package, heat, AC, powerseats, powerwindows, CD player with Sirius/XM radio and automatic transmission.

Fun Convertible.
by Cory P. on 01/06/2010.
Trim: 2008 Pontiac Solstice Convertible, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
The Solstice is a well priced, great looking vehicle. It has gotten a lot of criticism for not living up to it's hype, however it is not a sports car, and it doesn;t have the price tag of one either. It's fun and sporty.
Cons:
Major problems I've had with this vehicle are the cup holders. The mechanisms are not meant for wear and tear. My only other issue with the car is the convertible top, which must be manually dealt with.
Overall review:
Overall review for the 2008 Pontiac Solstice is that it is a great car with a lot of zip.
