Best Out There! by Stacey on 08/02/2010. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4-Door, Owned 2 years.
Pros: great value, comfort, style, overall performance
Cons: a little sluggish going up steep mountain roads, compared to larger engine vehicles- NOT enough to complain of, it IS an economical car
Overall review: This is my second AVEO. My first (2007) AVEO i loved however it was totaled in an unavoidable wreck, in which it handled perfectly, and i walked away without any injuries. My second (2008) AVEO is everything i need. i get positive comments on it regularly, and tell everyone that it is the most comfortable and economical car on the market. Some of those hybrid cars may get better than my 34 mpg, but they cost WAY more up front- so i figured that i myself would not see the costs benefits for driving one of those until it is twelve years old!

Reliable Basic Transportation by Dog Lover 2 on 04/25/2010. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: If you are looking for basic reliable transportation you should think about the Aveo. I have to admit the rides stiff so don't expect it to have the suspension of say a Lexus and it won't beat a Mustang off the line. What you will find is $27 will fill the tank, you'll get 26 miles per gallon and it will start every time you turn the key. The handling isn't bad and you can zip in and out of places. The Aveo will take you any place you want to go be it on the highway or just around town. Aveo does what it was built to do provide it's owner with reliable basic transportation at a reasonable price.
Cons: Mechanically I have had no problems so far. If your concerned about cup holds it has one large one and one small one in front and only one cup holder in the back for passengers.
Overall review: I give Aveo two thumbs up.

My little baby :) by Banker from P-town on 12/09/2009. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: The car is small on the outside, so it is easy to fit in small parking spots, but it is taller than most cars, so it is very roomy inside. I love the gas mileage. The inside looks very nice, and the outside looks better and better to me every day. The price was absolutely right.
Cons: It has a funny whistling noise at times. No CD player, but does come with an MP3 outlet. Lights are always on during the day, and that bugs me for some reason.
Overall review: I owned a 1990 Acura Integra before this car, and loved it, but I needed something more reliable. When I went to the dealership, and the sales guy told me about the aveo, I almost puked. I had heard all bad stuff about them. Then once I sat in it, and drove it, I fell in love! This car is absolutely perfect for a new driver, or someone who is trying to establish credit, but needs something reliable and new. All my friends are jealous, and even my mom (who has always hated small cars) loves it.

Good cheap comfortable good looking economical and realiable transportation by Ron from Hallock on 11/03/2009. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Aveo LT 4-Door, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Adjustable seat with 2-position Lumbar adjustment, fast acceleration, good looks, 35 MPG @ 75 MPH with the AC on, ipod jack for easy MP3 listening, better than average sound system with the LT model, fast warm-up time for warm air into cabin (warm air is noticiable after 1 minute of driving with no warm up time), integrated windshield antenna gives good reception, nice smooth cruise control with no speed hunting, fold down back seats to carry my bicycle (Need to remove the front tire, though). The seat belt is comfortable to wear.
Cons: The high beam headlamp indicator light is way too bright. Had to cover it up otherwise it is very, very annoying. There is a bad wind howl noise when driving fast against a right quartering headwind. It makes you drive under 75 MPH or less until the noise goes away. Other drivers have noted this as well. Hard seats require some sort of cushion. I use a 1" chamois type cushion, which works great. Driving In winds makes the car unstable. Easy to go outside your lane if your not paying close attention. This is not a problem on calm days. No cancel on the cruise control, you must hit the brake or turn the cruise off.
Overall review: I got this Chevy Aveo LT for $7,500 with a salvage title with 3,000 miles on it. I now have close to 12,000 miles on it with almost 100 percent highway miles. Most of the time I get 34-35 MPG at 75 MPH. The more I drive it the more I like it. But it is not in the Honda Civic catagory. The Honda is much more stable and sure footed while driving in gusty winds. This alone is worth the extra cost of the Honda.

Great car!!! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 09/05/2009. Trim: 2008 Chevrolet Aveo LS 4-Door, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I drive long distance on the open highway and average 37 mpg going 70 mph, with the automatic trans. and air going. The exterior and interior styling is very nice. And the ride is that of a larger car.
Cons: The factory tires are junk. I replaced mine at 15,000 they were shot at that point. I replaced them with uniroyal tiger paw tires with a 660 treatwear rating and I now have almost 30,000 miles on the car and these tires still look new. I also installed mud flaps because of the road debris has a the tendency to give the vehicle roadrash in front of the rear wheels. this solved the problem.
Overall review: I would recomend this car to anyone looking for an inexpensive car. The car is good looking, comfortable, and good on gas. If your a young kid and want a street racer. this may not be the car for you. But if your driving to work or your kids sporting events, this is your new car.
