THE ULTIMATE LEMON by Gary from Littleton on 02/25/2013. Trim: 2007 Hyundai Veracruz Limited AWD, Owned 6 years.
Pros: WE WERE DECIDING BETWEEN THE VERACRUZ AND THE MAZDA CX-9 AND DECIDED FOR THE PRICE THE VERACRUZ LIMITED 4 WHEEL DRIVE WAS A GOOD DEAL. IT HAS A GOOD RIDE ADEQUATE POWER AND A LOT OF STANDARD FEATURES.
Cons: SHORTLY AFTER WE HAD IT THE SWITCHES FOR ADJUSTING THE SEAT BACKS WERE MALFUNCTIONING SO THEY WERE REPLACED. AT 52,000 MI. THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL BEARING WENT OUT. AT JUST OVER 50,000 MI. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON,TOOK IT IN BUT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM AND EVER SINCE IT COMES ON. NOW WITH 72,000 MI. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON FAIRLY OFTEN. AS WELL AS THE "ABS" AND THE "ESC" LIGHTS. IT'S BEEN IN NUMEROUS TIMES REPLACING OXYGEN SENSORS, THEN THE DRIVE BY WIRE THROTTLE WITH NO RESULTS NOW THE "ABS" MODULE IS MAKING A NOISE. WITH ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS CONTINUALLY COMING ON AND NO RESOLUTION FROM THE DEALER THE FRUSTRATION LEVEL HAS REACHED A NEW LEVEL.THIS CAR IS A "LEMON".
Overall review: AT THIS POINT I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS VEHICLE TO ANYONE, IT HAS BECOME SO TROUBLE PRONE I DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT ON ANY LONG TRIPS AND UNFORTUNATELY THE DEALER DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE HOW TO FIX IT. IT APPEARS TO ME HYUNDAI ADVERTISES GREAT QUALITY BUT IF THEY EVER GET THIS FIGURED OUT MY NEXT VEHICLE WILL NOT BE A HYUNDAI.

Most under-rated SUV ! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/07/2011. Trim: 2007 Hyundai Veracruz Limited, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Quiet ride. Luxurious feel. Plenty of leg and shoulder room in all seats. Superb sound "infinity" system. Leather seats very comfortable.Spacious trunk.Abundant interior storing space. Wide pilot windscreen that gives a bird's eye view . Very well balanced on the freeway. Electronic stabilizing sytem second to none. Very responsive breaks.Electrical parts have not faulted in 4 years of usage. Decent 28 mpg on the freeway. I once got 39 mpg, I wish it could have been consistent at this. The headlights at night very good for long distance night travel.
Cons: Low acceleration between 0 to 30 km/hr, but speeds up after 30 km/hr. City mileage is 16 MPG can do with more. Shock absorbers just average, does not measure up to par with other features of the car. I hope Hyundai is reading this and will take note.
Overall review: Most under-rated SUV .

Biggest bang for the buck by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/09/2010. Trim: 2007 Hyundai Veracruz SE, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Very comfortable, quite, reasonable gas mileage, nice features, nice interiors
Cons: "Blue" color lighting. Not sure what the "mood" light is for.
Overall review: I bought this vehicle in 3/2009 and it now has over 98K miles on it, only need to replace the battery and had to replace the rear brakes. The front brakes still have 30% of the lining. Reasonable gas mileage - 19-20 in city. 24-25 highway(cruise control and at the speed limits).
