Street leagl race car - seriously by Mike on 06/15/2009. Trim: 2007 Lotus Elise Coupe, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros: Fantastic - I used to drive single seat race cars. This is as close as it gets.
Cons: A lot of attention, people taking pictures etc. Can be a hassle some times, but most people love the car.
Overall review: Fantastic car. You will not be disappointed. I actully find excuses to go out and drive, I can't stay out of it.

Most "smiles per galllon" street-legal vehicle by Shaking and Baking in Los Angeles on 01/27/2009. Trim: 2007 Lotus Elise Coupe, Owned 1 year.

Pros: The handling and fun-to drive factor make this a most enjoyable car to drive, whether it be back and forth to work or driving winding back roads. Just driving the car to pick up groceries makes it a pleasurable experience. And getting commendable gas mileage (22 mpg on city streets, 30 mpg on the highway) keeps one from feeling guilty when zipping around town. Its exotic appearance and exclusivity on the streets yet reasonable price makes it a one-of-a-kind sports car (yesterday when someone asked how much it cost and I replied "under 50 thousand" and he thought I said "a hundred 50 thousand" just underscores this misconception.
Cons: The front headlamp already went out and had to be replaced and now my instrument panel light went out, and the car hasn't even been driven 3000 miles. Plus the very minimal storage capacity makes it impractical without saying (the passenger seat sometimes becomes a necessary cargo area).
Overall review: Despite my initial concerns that this car might be too impractical or uncomfortable to drive to be used as my main source of trasportation, it has proven to be by far the best purchase of a car that I have ever made (the "smiles per gallon" that this car provides is unbeatable).

Lotus Elise supercharged by Adriano on 08/11/2007. Trim: 2007 Lotus Elise Coupe, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros: sharp looking, stands out of the crowd, toyota engine/reliability, fun factor, great mileage
Cons: entrance/exit, high maintenance price, small tank app 220 miles
Overall review: a true performance car, second to none in corners and in quick sharp maneuvers. The only music that you should be listening to is the sound of the exhaust. If you want a car with bass buy something else. If you are single this is the car for you!

Lotus Elise by Yellow Elise on 08/03/2007. Trim: 2007 Lotus Elise Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Fun to drive, sharp looking car.
Cons: Pain to get in and out. Stereo is buzzy and lacks any bass. Shifter is clunky with long throws. Center console is only held on by two screws and tends to rock side to side. Car only has good power after 6000 rpms below that it lack torque and power.
Overall review: The car is fun to drive but not in the city. On a twisty open road its great. The car is not good for individual over 5'10" as it is difficult to get in and out of. My wife hits her head on the passenger side everytime she get in and out. I originally had the sport exhaust which was annoyingly loud and I quickly switched back to the original exhaust which is much easier to live with on a daily basis. The sport exhaust sounds tough but actually putting the stock exhaust back, the car seems to respond quicker. The A/C is marginal at best. There is little to no sound insulation so the buzzy stereo is not an issue as I can't really hear it anyway.
