One of the most amazing vehicles ever!

Pros:
Amazing control, driveability, technology and comfort as well as 500HP
Cons:
Not much...
Overall review:
I am shocked at seeing some of the negative feedback! The negative feedback may be from those that work for Audi or from those that really don't get how to drive a BMW. This car is far and away too fast for its own good. If you have an IQ below 100 and can't handle the dreaded "technology" stay away from this car. As for the gas mileage, I have driven this car on the highway and gauged the actual fuel consumption and it was at 19.8mpg HWY.This MPG is not great but that is not why I bought the car. If you want a car that blandly and vaguely integrates technology and driving get an S6(Simply a souped up '97 Chevy Malibu). If you can handle true driving and like using technology to customize things to your liking get the M5. This car is surprisingly quite on the HWY and does grunt in low RPM's if your windows are up it is somewhat hard to hear since the noise dampening in the BMW is exquisite! Keep in mind this is a sports car!! If you want a tasteless glass smooth drive get Lexus.

Pros:
Stealthy enough that the average person has no idea that it is a 500 hp auto. The enthusiast can immediately tell that it is not just a BMW sedan, but a ///M car. It can be driven daily and driven hard when one wants to play. It has more that enough technology and comfort features to satisfy anyone. It does not have the raw edge feel of the ///M3 but is by no means a sedate sedan.
Cons:
Initial price. If anyone is interested in purchasing one I strongly suggest looking at a 1 - 2 year old model. Owners of these cars are enthusiasts and will care for these cars very well. The only difference in a 1 year old car is the shorter warrany and an up front cost difference that can approach >40% off of MSRP. I picked up my 2007 model as a 1 year old vehicle with 25,000 miles and paid $40,000 less than the original owner did for a fully loaded model with a 6 speed manual tranny.
Gas mileage is poor - about 15 mpg - up to 20 mpg highway but I get the same mileage in the 500 hp setting as I do in 400 hp setting.
Overall review:
Amazing car - my 3rd BMW and clearly the best daily driver I have ever owned. A pleasure to drive on long trips. I plan to keep this one for a while.

Pros:
The amazing blend of horsepower, technology and luxury. The M5 is a masterpiece!
Cons:
The lack of valvetronic technology to get better gas mileage
Overall review:
This car is a fantastic and luxurious sports car! It has everything that you could want as a luxury car and has all of the guts of an unforgiving sports car.

A fast, nice car, however not the leader in performance AND luxury.

Pros:
Power, acceleration, handling, size, aggresive look
Cons:
Confounding gadgets, fit and finish not as good as I would have expected, jerky shifter at lower speeds, a little "clunky"
Overall review:
I got this car after owning a S4. After a month I'm a little dissappointed with the fit and finish of a car of this price and stature. Yea, it's fast (much faster than the S4) and sounds great. But, the ride is a bit harsh and a bit clunky. My failure to shift smoothly after a month at lower speeds is very discouraging. Overall, a fast, nice car, however not the leader in performace AND luxury.
