This Truck is a Lemon see the class action law suit on 6.7L Dodge by Sorry Dodge Buyer on 09/14/2011. Trim: 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4X4, Owned 4 years.
Pros: THe power is very good when the turbo is not faulty.
Cons: 6.7 L Diesel has major problems with the Turbo and the PDF and Injectors. It started at 5K miles and has never fully been able to be fixed. I had the truck in 5 times and the engine light has never been off for more than 3 months. They replaced many Exhaust components and cleaned the turbo by drilling a hole in it to spray solvent in it. Does that sound like a fix? Dodge will not admit that they have an issue with the 6.7 L Exhaust System and Turbo and Exhaust Filter.
Overall review: 6.7 L Diesel has major problems with the Turbo and the PDF and Injectors. It started at 5K miles and has never fully been able to be fixed. I had the truck in 5 times and the engine light has never been off for more than 3 months. They replaced many Exhaust components and cleaned the turbo by drilling a hole in it to spray solvent in it. Does that sound like a fix? Dodge will not fix my bad turbo because they said that I did not change the fuel filter every 15K miles, but no one told me that it would void my warranty. And Dodge never supplied me a owner’s manual, Case in point, there is a class action suit over this issue with 2007 to 2010 Cummins issues relating to the turbo (Case no. : 8:10-201-HFF). Dodge will not admit that they have an issue with the 6.7 L Exhaust System and Turbo and Exhaust Filter. Chrysler is trying to get the Class Action Complaint dismissed in court as you read this. Is this how they conduct business. Do not buy this truck or you will be sorry.

The good, bad, and down right ugly by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/28/2011. Trim: 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Mega Cab 4X4, Owned 4 years.
Pros: The cummings package makes this vehicle tolerable even with all the Dodge poor components. Love the long wheel base that makes for an excellent ride. The interior and storage is the best of any truck. My wife and I have 2 dogs and travel between our 2 homes 10 hours apart so the room makes it great for those trips. 21.6 MPG on the highway is also the best of any 2500 diesel truck on the market
Cons: at 56K miles the front tie rod gave way. . Of ocurse the new entire fornt end Dodge made me replace was much heavier than the previous-an aobvious significant design issue but would not back it up. All U joints have been replaced, The AC and fan clutch mototr went out . Electrical problems as well the battery to run low after about 4 or 5 days . I have ranch vehicles that sit for 2 months -No issues . Reliability with key mechanicals except the cummings and transmission are POOR. The worstin 35 years of vehicle ownership. This truck has design issues and poor components used to make it cheap. I will NEVR even consider dodge again for anything. Buyer beware this vehicle is Junk.
Overall review: Compfrt is wonderful. Engine is the best. Interior room is perfect. Ride and handling is wonderful. Dodge related mechanicals are Junk plain and simple. I have been in the Auto industry for 33 years and have seen many design issues and improvements. Most companies take responsibility for theirs. Not Dodge-The customer is responsible for their poor Engineering and Poor material selections. If you can put up with the constant repairs and breakdowns of major component systems and are prepared to pay the price buy the truck. Otherwise stay away. Dodge has lost me for the rest of my life. I will pay more for a Chevy or a Ford to avaoid the aggravation of being down for a couple of days every 6-9 months after 50K miles.

great on and off road and towing by Jerry on 07/21/2009. Trim: 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4X4, Owned 2 years.
Pros: cummings with 6 seep is great. Toweing get 11.5 mpg and still will get up and go to 80 mph if required with 10,500 lbl behing it. Have had some problerms with 6.7 but have been corrected asap by the service dept. This is the best tow vehicle I have ever owned and the Jake Brake is outstanding.
Cons: seats could use some help. I would like a air ride but well it is not a add on , wishit was.
Overall review: The 2500 4X4 with cummings and 6 spead will get you 16MPG in town driven easy and 19.0 MPG on the highway. Great engine and the rest of the truck is great off road. A little heavy but what can you expect with the hunck of steel up frount. Never had a better truck. Get one.

Love My Truck by Carlene, VA on 06/29/2009. Trim: 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Laramie Quad Cab 4X4, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Hands down, the best truck on the road. Love the style, ride, handling and power; plus looks and compliments I get on this truck. I added a few extra chrome accents myself, like wheel wells, door handles, exhaust tip, and Dodge brand mud flaps. Looks great on black metallic exterior. Very well pleased after 10,000 miles. No problems at all with truck or with finding ULS diesel.
Cons: Hard at first to get used to such a large truck. Does need extra parking space. Wish I had gotten more aggressive tread tires.
Overall review: Excellent in every way. Would choose this one again.
