Fun, Good General Use truck by RaleTheBlade on 09/19/2007. Trim: 2007 Dodge Dakota ST Club Cab 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: V6 has plenty of power for merging and passing, not racing (slower than its competitors, who cares? Who's going to race a 4X4 truck anyway?). My club cab came without back seats so it has a ton of room for storage (4 vacuum cleaners and an aquarium) and the factory sound system is pretty good. Rear anti-slip differential works well too. Mine came with cargo hooks and a cargo lamp stock with the longer bed (longer than the quad cab) so that helped a lot. The quad doors open to leave you with nice wide access to the inside of the cab and the feel of the hinges, door locks, and other moving parts is stiff and fresh rather than cheap and "tinny". Overall a good truck.
Cons: The interior feels very cheap, I realize its supposed to be a truck and it needs to be durable (which Im sure the hard plastics are very durable) but I just wish there was some better styling to the interior. The headlight turn "knob" is a little strange as I was used to a headlight switch (or pull knob) in my previous vehicles but it didn't take long to get used to. The four wheel drive should really be actuated by a mechanical lever rather than an electronic knob, it has always been my experience that the electronic four wheel drive switches always seem to fail at the worst times while the good ol' mechanical lever stays tried and true. FUEL ECONOMY
Overall review: Overall a very good truck, didn't cost a lot and everything works well and is within good reach. The fuel economy is sub par to other trucks of its class (probably due to the 4 speed automatic and low geared rear end) but its not awful. It has good power and doesn't leave you afraid to merge or pass someone on the highway or rural roads. The factory sound system is pretty nice but the upgraded system is better (obviously). Windows roll up and down easily, locks all work without issue. The tailgate latches and unlatches easily and sounds solid when putting up. The low beams illuminate the road very well but the high beams seem to shine too far away. I enjoy the truck very much, and Dynomax, Flowmaster, K&N, and a few other companies make good upgrade parts for it as well. So if your looking at buying one of these to turn into an offroad machine, there are plenty of parts out there to add to it. Oh, and the V8 (according to EPA estimates) gets about the same MPG :)

2007 Dakota Sport 4 door 2WD by Slaterracing on 07/25/2007. Trim: 2007 Dodge Dakota SLT Quad Cab 2WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Power, Interior room, Styling
Cons: non to speak of. V8 got 20 miles per gall on road trip so not bad at all. That was with the air on and fully loaded with 5 people.
Overall review: Great truck. This is my wifes truck she traded in the Mini Van on it and would never go back.
