Pros: This car hugs the road, with very sure steering. The inside is functional and cleanly designed, with an absence futsy embellishments. I really like how the navigation screen closes down into the dash when not in use. The best thing -- when you start it up, it sounds like a car should sound, a deep, throaty rumble. You just know there will be power when you press the accelerator, and there is.
Cons: In an age when we should be seeking the best gas mileage we can, this, admittedly, is not this car's strong point. The turbocharged engine, with 274 horses under the hood, is a thirsty engine, with 20 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway.
Overall review: Quite simply, this is a fun car to drive, even on those mundane trips to pick up the kids at school. As you work up and down through the 6 gears, you feel the car working with you for maximum performance. For a car in this price range, it provides you with everything the hype promises.

Pros: everything, performance, performance, performance
Cons: Doesn't have a one touch open for moonroof
Overall review: Amazing car, feels like an Audi for the price of a Mazda

My First Car by Mazdaspeedfan on 02/12/2013. Trim: 2007 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Grand Touring, Owned 4 years.
Useful?
Pros: Very rare and a conversation starter. Acceleration is scary fast. Neutral responsive handling, with oversteer possible with the throttle. Second car to the US market with direct injection Nav, classy trim and white/black leather make interior look expensive. Very good looking. Puts a smile on my face. Handles amazing in the snow and rain.
Cons: Tricky unforgiving clutch. Rattles and creaks. EGR Valve Failure. Worn wheel bearing. Engine Coil failure. Loose Diferential bolts. Oil Leak. Transfer Case leak. Sunroof should be standard on grand touring trim. Keyless entry went haywire. Obviously Fake Exhaust tips.
Overall review: This car makes me very happy. I love to look at it. I love to drive it. I wouldn't call it unreliable, but it has had needed repairs, some of which were expensive. Lots of the problems are known problems that other MS6s have. I've had the car for 3.5 years and if I had to do it over again, I'd still have a hard time finding a better handling, accelerating and looking car than the MS6 for the same money. Maintenance is key with an MS6 and some will have issues down the line. And Mazda dealers have horrible service. This car is not for everyone, because the repairs could potentially be a handful.I've observed 16/24 mpg (rated at 20/25 when new but downrated to 17/23 after new EPA test standards). Bad things will happen if the gas is not Premium.

Cheapest used sport family out there by FactRzerO on 01/16/2011. Trim: 2007 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Grand Touring, Owned 4 years.
Useful?
Pros: Auto climate control, on-demand AWD, smooth 6 shifter, leather surfaces, excellent handling, acceleration
Cons: suspension over an uneven road, poor 1st gear disengagement/clutch, issues with rear transaxle falling appart (potentially if driven abrasively).
Overall review: Excellent sports sedan over-all. Can't complain about mileage because it is a turbo, ie. you use it you lose it. I've driven this car for just over 3 years and have had nothing but typical brake work and oil changes done. Everything works great.

I like it but you may love it!! by Jshhand on 04/27/2009. Trim: 2007 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Grand Touring, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros: I love the way this car runs in the snow. I have switched to full snow tires for the alberta winters. The awd is amazing. This car loves to run and can be quite fun to drive.
Cons: I have had some issues with squeeks and rattles and the stock tires last less than 20000km. Which is not acceptable. It also does not handle that well in stock trim. You can upgrade things but a car that costs this much should handle better. The speed 6 which can be a riot to drive and runs like a cat hitting water in first gear but the gears are short and dies off in the upper rpm too much.
Overall review: I like my speed 6 but I am not sure I love it. Most days I would rather drive our envoy and leave my speed 6 looking pretty in the garage. Unless I feel like whipping the local mustangs and imports on the streets.
