It was difficult to convince myself that the Escalade was worth the extra $10K over the Tahoe. After a year of blissful ownership I’m glad I bit the bullet and spent the money.

Pros:
Moved up from an Avalanche, and there is NO comparison. It is a totally different truck. If you want style, class, comfort, prestiege, and performance it is worth the money. I do not see myself doing anything but maybe moving up in year models, but it will be an Escalade EXT.
Cons:
Insurance is higher. Would like to have floor shift vice the coloumn, and individual arm rests instead of the door pull and the top of the center console. Fuel milage is comparable to the
Avalanche if you drive in a sane and reponsible manner (at least most of the time).
Overall review:
Will be driving an EXT for a long while even though I am a senior citizen and widower.
