Dodge At All Costs

Pros:
The style of the vehicle initially drew me in like the sirens from Greek mythology. The seats are comfortable with plenty of head and leg room. The back seats fold down allowing for lots of space when hauling items.
Cons:
Serious issues with quality and reliability! Less than 40,000 miles and this vehicle has been nothing but a money pit. Major problems involving suspension. Have have had to replace all tie rods and ball joints. Dealership knows all about the suspension problems with Calibers, however, Dodge won't do a recall and address the issue. Water still leaking into rear tail light assembly even after it was replaced. Cheap interior is made of plastic that scratches very easily. No acceleration when pulling into traffic and poor handling while driving on ice. Should have concentrated more on the important things instead of gimicky items like the beverage cooler in the glove box.
Overall review:
This car is a mechanic's wet dream! Considering all the money put into this vehicle for major and minor repairs I sincerely recommend you go ahead and spend the extra money and get yourself something a little more reliable. On the other hand, if you're a masochist I highly recommend this vehicle. The Dodge Caliber... proof that you still get what you pay for.

Pros:
I like the MPG!!
Cons:
I hate the plastic trim all over the vehicle that discolors SOOOO quickly, the cargo/trunk area has no carpeting so anything that you put back there, slides around and slams into the sides and marks up the back of the vehicle. The road noise is horrible in my car, others I have heard that they don't have this problem. The seat comfort is down the drain, it is not desireable in my book, to sit in the seats any length of time would be horrific, and the leg room is not enough for me to sit in the back.
Overall review:
I would rate this vehicle around a 4.5 to 5.0, the MPG is the thing that keeps me hanging onto it. Oh, and the color is nice too.

GREAT CAR

Pros:
CAR GETS VERY GOOD GAS MILEAGE , SO FAR VERY DEPENDABLE. 98%OF MY DRIVING IS INTERSTATE. CAR HANDLES GOOD ON INTERSTATE. PLENTY POWER TO PASS WITH CVT TRANNY.REPLACED DODGE DAKOTA BECAUSE OF POOR GAS MILEAGE. ALSO PLENTY OF ROOM TO HALL THINGS.BOSTON SOUND SYSTEM IS GREAT.
Cons:
COULD BE ALITTLE BETTER ON ROAD NOISE. OTHER THAN THAT NOTHING.

ONE GREAT CAR FOR THE PRICE, AND LOOKS.

Good Car for the Price

Pros:
The economy! I am getting 26-29 mpg, with 45k on the car the maintenance costs have been average and the car was cheap to begin with. With a sunroof, upgraded sound, the cool radio controls on the wheel and power everything it was still inexpensive. In my opinion it looks much cooler than a lot of cars you can get for the price. It is also a good travelling car for my husband and I, but I wouldn't want to take more than two people on a long trip as the storage in the back isn't very large. We take it camping, on cycling trips and have driven it from central Texas to Tennessee. Comfortable, reliable and great mileage.
Cons:
The 4-cylinder is wimpier than some of the cars with a comparable engine I have driven. My husband also complains about the blind spots on the car. The road noise is somewhat noticeable but on par with other cars at this price I have owned or driven.
Overall review:
Overall this is a great second car for the price. Our full size truck is more expensive in every area, so this helps keep the bills down. With 2 years and 45k on the car I am still as happy as I was when I got it.

Nice crossover vehicle

Pros:
Nice style and great options(sirius, aux jack, chill zone)
Cons:
The SXT has a constant shimmy or shake in the steering wheel and on some occastions the whole car will shake.
Overall review:
Car is recomended but i would maybe get a R/T model with the AWD drive model.
