No other choice by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/27/2012. Trim: 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LS 1500 2WD, Owned 5 years.

Pros: Bought new in 2007. Just getting ready to hit 90K miles. This is my wifes car for hauling around the three kids, all in car seats. She backs up the Suburban with ease thanks to the parking sensor. She even gets complements from strangers at the grocery store when she backs the truck into a tight spot on the first try! Ours is a LS model with only three options: air bags all around, parking sensor and one other I can't remeber. Paid $36K even out the door in 2007. Bought an extended warranty and have not had one problem with the truck. Pulled a 5,000 lb camper for a couple of years. Gas mileage is 16-17 in town and can be as high as low 20's on the highway at 65 mph.
Cons: Fuel economy - but you know the deal getting into this, so not really a complaint.
Overall review: Love our Suburban, will always own one.

Super Suburban! by carboy18 on 07/12/2011. Trim: 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ 1500 4WD, Owned 3 years.

Pros: My family purchased this car in early 2008 and it has been great ever since. As expected this car is large but the back-up camera, parking sensors, and tight steering make it feel much smaller. The chrome finish and paint make this car look very classy along with the 20" wheels. This car is also kid friendly with multiple climate zones and a rear dvd screen.
Cons: The rear seat is a bit tight and is best for small adults or children and some plastics are aliitle hard for a 52,000 dollar vehicle.
Overall review: A large SUV that is great for highway driving and family trips that needs a larger 3rd row seat.

GM Back in the GaMe by Mr. D on 01/23/2007. Trim: 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT1 1500 2WD, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Quality, Fit and Finish is a Homerun. If you have walked (or run) away from GM in the past because of higher quality alternatives, the all new Surburban is something you Need to test drive before your next new vehicle purchase. The Road Manners are virtually at Luxury Car Levels. Even in Base Trims, this is simply a very nice vehicle with great utility. City Mileage is 15.9 MPG on 87 Octane with A/C on.
Cons: The 5.3L Engine doesn't feel anything near 320hp. The Denali feels much stronger. The headlights are really poor. With technology for HID lights in 2007 available for relatively low cost, HID Headlights should have been Standard or at least optional. Plan on purchasing an aftermarket retrofit kit for frequent night drives. The Roof Sheet Metal is very thin (flexes very easily) for lower curb weight, be careful with roof cargo. No Rear Barn Doors Available, I really miss this from the previous generations. The Climate Control never Starts on Recirculation, only fresh air. The Dash Gauges should be lit up all the time, not just when the lights are on, sometimes its hard to read during the day.
Overall review: Finally, GM has stepped up to the Drivability levels of Foriegn Brands. The all new Suburban Platform is solid on the road, comfortable to ride in, and the chassis is very solid. We will see how the engines run after a couple of years using the 4 Cylinder Fuel Shut Down Mode. This feature is only helpful in City Mode, net gains of 0.5-1.2 MPG better overall. The engine strugles on the Highway when 4 Cylinders are used to push this 6000 lbs Vehicle above 55 MPH. I ended up purchasing the GMC Yukon XL, since the Suburbans seemed to be loaded up with extra options, ordered by the dealers. If you are planning on purchasing a Suburban, check through Chevy's website for Dealer Inventory that matches what you are looking for. It is easy to overspend and overequip.

LOVE/HATE the Truck by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/24/2013. Trim: 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ 1500 4WD, Owned 4 years.

Pros: Love this suburban, very roomy and great to drive. Holds our family, kids and dogs with plenty of space for luggage, etc.... Tons of bells and whistles. Love the heated seats and remote start. In the winter the remote start turns on the heated seats also. Very smart and convenient when all is working.
Cons: Hate all the problems. We started losing oil, down quarts every so often, couldn't figure out where it was going. Took the dealer and took them numerous times to actually fix the problem, over a year. Ended up replacing a lot of the power train and took so long just made it before the warranty expired. Also always messages and warnings popping up, service traction control, tire pressure etc..... Check engine light comes on frequently. Rear window defroster doesn't work and they had to remove the heated window wash on a recall. Radio sometimes goes off and pops back on like there is a short but still works most of the time. Bad gas mileage. Now at 115,000 the transmission is going.
Overall review: Great truck but too many problems.
