Pros:
i drive my car into the ground and i had a bet with my buddy to see how long it would take to blow up my car... well i didnt do anything to if for about 3 years and the car still ran like a champ... if anyone wants a car that if u dont change the oil and drive hard and not worry about blowing a pistion through the block this is the car for you
Cons:
needs more power... like 800bph

Pros:
2007 4-Door GTI...Looks inside and out. German quality and engineering. DSG. Value for dollar. Performance. Fun, fun, fun. The car is like crack. It's an intense high when you're in it, severe withdrawl when you leave it. So solid, you feel well protected. Curtain airbags front and back. Exaust note so sweet. Leather seats super comfy/supportive. Makes you psyched to go out for groceries! This is a drivers car, you should be a well skilled driver for the GTI, or you might just push yourself beyond your limits. If the car proves reliable, this will prove to be the best car ever, so much for your money it's amazing.
Cons:
Dealership in queens so lousy it was ridiculous. Had to purchase it at JackDaniels VW of New Jersey, where salesman Mike Kim actually returned my phone calls, and got my car sorted in one day, done (highly recommend dealership.) As for vehicle dislikes, nothing really, although I pushed against the window as it closed to test the pinch protection system, which is supposed to reverse a closing window to prevent injury, and it kept on closing, so I will investigate this. Side mirrors could be bigger. I've read about slight turbo lag, this is nit-picking, turbo kicks in right away. Radar detector a must!!! I reccommend Beltronics rx65, best site to get it...THEAUDIOBOOKSTORE.COM
Overall review:
You close the doors, which feel solid as a tank, and you know you are so well protected. You start the engine, and if it's night time, the nicest looking dashboard I've seen, lights up. You grip the wheel, which is as beefy and inspiring as any Ferrari wheel, nicer. And as you put the car into DSG manual mode, you're just so psyched to go. Handling is unreal, if you just think "right lane," you're already there. Every entrance and exit onto the freeway is an opportunity for G-force, with total confidence. Breaking is strong and keenly progressive. Steering response is quick and precise. Foot stays on the throttle while you shift-this is the fastest shifting you've ever done. Cars are a distant memory in your rearview mirror. As for reviewers criticisms..1.for excess weight-it's the weight that makes it more solid feeling, and much safer in the event of crash. 2. Annoying sunroof sound-all sunroofs do this-crack open the window you sissy. 3. Interior quality? The interior is unreal.

The DSG is the best, fast, looks good from the front, if you drive it easy you get great gas millage especially with the dsg and if you want to drive fast it will blow your mind. great resale value
Cons:
Does not look like a sports car from the side

Pros:
I am a little biased about german engineering, but i love how everything in the GTI is smooth and precise. my car is very reliable, and it's super tough.
Cons:
well, to be honest. i love everything about my car. although, it is not stock. i have upgraded the software, and put on sports springs and 19"tsw wheels and bfg low pro tires. but in the two years we've had my car, we haven't had a single problem. and i LOVE it.

Best GTI yet. Great job vw.
