Who says a wagon can't be sporty?
by Brian from Colorado on 08/19/2008.
Trim: 2006 Subaru Impreza Wagon 2.5i, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
I love how it handles and engine is powerfull enough to keep up with most wrx's. Lots of storage space and the gas mileage is better than it's rating(+/- 34MPG HWY and 25 city and I don't baby it!). Easy to upgrade, especially suspension parts. Insurance on the 2.5i wagon is CHEAP but the car is faster than any non-turbo car in it's class!
Cons:
Rear leg room for an adult is limited but for kids and car seats there is plenty of room! Paint scratches easier than other cars I've owned.
Overall review:
I've owned this car since Dec 2005 and it has only had one minor glitch with the engine computer which was fixed quickly and I haven't had any other problems since!! Upgrad the springs with USDM STI pink springs (~$200) and a sti style 21mm rear swaybar(~$120) and you can hang with a wrx or sti through a moutain pass without sacrificing ride quality. Great car, tons of fun to drive and very reliable!

Pros:
very well made for the money spent.
Cons:
so far....... nothing!
Overall review:
I just bought the car used in 2007 and so far it is the best looking car I have ever owned. I have owned a Subaru before(outback limited) the most outstanding handling in the snow and mud. I have nothing but good things to say about Subaru. the Japanese car the germans wish they built.

Pros:
Beautiful inside and out. I own Impreza Outback Sport and it comes with 6 CD in dash changer and sub woofer and premium speakers, leather wraped steering wheel and shift knob, spoliler, cross bars and it is also a bit higher of the ground then the Impreza Wagon. I also like the dual tone paint and the beautiful new redesigned front and lights.
Cons:
I noticed wind noise ciming from the cross bars around 40-50 mph but you can always take them off.
There is no option of sunroof unless you get the more expensive WRX. Oh well...
Overall review:
Great buy for the money!!! Super looks and economy and it is the famous AWD !!! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! Buy it and you'll love it!!!

Subaru: The name says it all

Pros:
Have only owned 1 week, but here are first impressions. Nice looking car - does not look like a wagon. Shifts smoothly and decent acceleration. These boxer engines are rock solid. I owned a 1983 GL Wagon 4WD and it was a monster in the snow - always ran well. Nice fit and finish to the vehicle. Price out the door at $20,120. All wheel drive will be a plus here. Gas mileage up to mfr rating so far. Proven name and reliability. Good lateral support with the seats.
Cons:
Mushy brake pedal. Rear hatch has a lip at the bottom instead of level all the way back like my 83 wagon. O.K. stereo - not a big thing with me anyway. Could use bigger counsel and arm rest needs to be more forward. license plate holes in front should have replacement rivets for the holes like my Honda did. C and D pillars too big - hard to see your blind spot on the highway (problaby my biggest pet peeve with this car)
Overall review:
Nice, solid car with a dependable name. Was looking at the Mazda 3 5 door, but why did I not choose? Three word here in snow plow land: All Wheel Drive
