Pros:
Nice looking car. Handles well in the snow and ice. Heated seats are an awesome feature.
Cons:
I had to replace the head gaskets at 100,000 KMS. Rear tires where worn out after 20,000 KMS of use. Have been told that both of these are known "subaru problems". Spent $4000 in 2 months on head gaskets and new tires on a vehicle that only had 100,000 KM on it.
Overall review:
Would not buy a subaru again after the huge cost that I have had to put into what I think is still a fairly new car!

A good solid car
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 02/25/2013.
Owned 7 years.
Useful?
Pros:
The Outback I drive has almost 200,000 miles on it and it handles like it did when it was brand new.
Cons:
It would be nice if it had more room in the back seating area. The newer Outbacks have more room.
Overall review:
Has been a very good and reliable car. It has had very few maintenance issues. I honestly think this car will easily make it to 300,000 miles.

Great Snow Wagon
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/18/2012.
Owned 6 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Great in snow! Just enough clearance to get through most snow situations, but still a comfortable entry for short people like me. It's just big enough to allow me to bring small furniture home from Target and IKEA, and my average mpg is 27 (combined city and highway), which I think is great for a wagon.
Cons:
Some rattling on the dashboard.
Overall review:
I bought this car when I was living in a mountain town and needed a reliable car that could get me to work on snowy days, and this car was great for that. Now that I've moved to the desert it's probably too much car for my needs, but I love it and have NEVER had a major problem with it so I will keep it until it won't run anymore - which hopefully won't be for another 100,000 miles (and, at this rate, I believe it will make the 200,000 mile mark).
