Style with Economy by Jimmy Jim from Rochester, MN on 12/27/2012. Trim: 2006 Honda Civic LX Coupe AT, Owned 6 years.
Pros: Bought brand new and now have 137,000 miles without any issues. Drives and rides like the day it came off the lot. Great Mileage +40 HWY if you drive sensibly. One set of brakes, new battery, Tranny fluid and oil changes as needed. Just purchased Michelin 80K tires. Plan to keep for at least 200K. Great smooth Auto Tranmission
Cons: At 100K or so you have to change Spark Plugs and have the values adjusted which ends up costing over $225.00 at the dealership. Engines are Honda's forte, so why value adjustment. No other auto makers have this regiment. Visor broke, but I drilled a hole and fasten with a small bolt to be stronger than OEM part.
Overall review: My wife saw one on the road when they first came out and thought it would be a great car for me and it has!! Stylish with nice handling. Gave my 2003 Corolla to my daughter. The Corolla was a great car and ran it course, but it just started to wear out at 90K. This Civic has never let me down and when the time comes to buy a new vehicle, I will be hard pressed to not to buy another Civic. The powertrain and transmission and wheel base remain the same through the 2013 model year, so Honds gets it right when they release a new model.

06 LX Sedan Manual, Galaxy Grey. by Norb. on 05/01/2006. Trim: 2006 Honda Civic LX Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Beautiful design, excellent ergonomics and standard safety features sold me on the Civic. Great handling makes it a fun to drive car. Plenty of room in the back seat for my three kids. Fuel economy is very good, getting about 35mpg combined. Large trunk despite the short overhang.
Cons: A bit noisy on the highway, probably from tire roar. Also a bit darty at speed, but thats probably from the quick ratio steering and/or tires.
Overall review: For the price you can't beat the Civic on features, workmanship, standard safety features, mpg's, and Honda quality. Throw in resale value and you've got a winner.

Love it! by Adrienne on 01/26/2012. Trim: 2006 Honda Civic LX Sedan AT, Owned 6 years.
Pros: great fuel economy, responsive handling (braking and steering), comfy seats, compact - great for city driving and parking, reasonably spacious interior for a compact car
Cons: Missing some of the bells and whistles of newer cars, like an MP3 player hookup. Also, I really wish that this trim had come with a trunk pop on the key. When I bought my car that feature was only available with the most expensive trim (which was otherwise not worth the extra cost, in my opinion).
Overall review: Overall, this is a great little commuter car. It is really nice for city driving (and parking). and equally great for my wallet because of the fuel economy. In 5.5 years of ownership I've only had one small repair to make to the AC system.
