Excellent Vehicle. Definite recommendation. by Mike, Grand Prairie, TX on 10/01/2010. Trim: 2006 Isuzu Ascender 5-Passenger S 2WD, Owned 4 years.
Pros: This year, the horsepower was upgraded to 275. The acceleration and pull on the vehicle is great. Overall it is a comfortable ride. We have taken several 8+ hour drives in it and no complaints on space, comfort, or performance. Bought brand new with 13 miles on it and now has 102k. Practically problem-free until now.
Cons: The front passenger seat is a little tight for my comfort, but then again, I am a big guy. Driver's seat is roomy enough, but more room would not be turned down. Odd-shaped rear fenders make parking "uncomfortable." Wood trim could be improved.
Overall review: Excellent buy! I researched several vehicles before we decided on this one and no regrets. Was originally going for 7-passenger, but decided on 5 instead. Love the overall quality of the vehicle.

ISUZU... by nkcnate on 07/21/2008. Trim: 2006 Isuzu Ascender 5-Passenger S 4WD, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Made by GM, cheaper with better warranty. Great Quality Vehicle, will keep this one.
Cons: Too bad they are stopping this line in 2009.
Overall review: The Best Vehicle I have ever owned. I go camping, moving, haul and load home improvement projects with this. Its also great for family members that use walkers its easier for them to get into than a Truck or Car.

Great SUV, Good Looking by lee, Jackson, TN on 09/04/2007. Trim: 2006 Isuzu Ascender 5-Passenger S 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: This is an excellent vehicle, I have owned it for three months. It rides and handles very well and it has a great turning radius. It looks identical to the GMC Envoy. The indoor label states that it is manufactured by General motors. It has an overhead console with built in garage door and gate openers. It is well equiped with all options.
Cons: Needs a little more space between the drivers seat and the center console.
Overall review: It is the best SUV that I have ever owned. It gets 21-22 miles per gallion on the highway while using the cruise control.

"The Silent Truck" by Rascal from NM. on 09/03/2007. Trim: 2006 Isuzu Ascender 5-Passenger S 2WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: I think this vehicle drives real nice. And handles excellent. The turning in this vehicle is better than anything I have drove. And it is a nice silent ride.
Cons: The one I got did not have cruise control. I think that should be on every vehicle.
Overall review: I would tell other people to buy.

A Chevy in Isuzu Clothing by rayb on 08/15/2007. Trim: 2006 Isuzu Ascender 5-Passenger S 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: It's essentially a Chevy Trailblazer with a heavily reduced price. I have the limited version with leather heated seats, moon roof etc. Mileage on HW around 20 in town 18.
Cons: Front seats can't be at full rear position to fold down back seat (I'm 6'5"). Brakes seem soft.
Overall review: Purchased this 2006 leftover in the spring of 07 with a heavy discount and dealer supported 0% interest for five years. Major parts are interchangeable with Chevy/GMC.
