Great Buy, Great MPG by Sonoma Mike on 07/25/2008. Trim: 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S, Owned 2 years.
3
Pros: I have 65,000 miles on it and I have only changed the oil and bought two tires. Best car ever for a low price. I have averaged 33 MPG city and HWY since it was new.
Cons: Soft paint, easily scatched. Road noise louder than other other similar cars, but I can live with it.
Overall review: Best deal ever and I'm 71

The Reliable 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8s Special Edition by JLRX425 from Poplar Grove, IL on 05/25/2006. Trim: 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S, Owned 1 year.

Pros: The Nissan Sentra 1.8S is truly a reliable car. The Special Edition package that is available to the customer is a nice package for the car, which gives it the appearance of an SE-R or Spec-V version, just without the increased engine performance. Radio is quality along with the subwoofer and 6-disc changer. Handles great on the road and has extremely great MPG as well.
Cons: The Nissan Sentra does have some problems that I have experienced. The engine when driving along can seem rather loud. Complaints I have also heard are that the rear turn signals aren't visible enough for people to see. Braking is not as efficient as should be. Oversized cups don't seem to fit very well in the cupholder as they should.
Overall review: The Nissan Sentra is in my opinion a reasonable car to purchase. While it may have some flaws, most cars have their own flaws. For an entry level car for someone or even an experienced car owner. The Nissan Sentra isn't a model that should be overlooked. You will find great value and respect for a car considered "entry level".

Very good first car by Brody! on 06/12/2013. Trim: 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S, Owned 7 years.
Useful?
Pros: Great MPG, quality interior, very capable of doing almost everything. I even took it over a mountain pass that is dirt on one side.
Cons: I mean, you can't get around it, it's underpowered. The automatic only comes with three gears and overdrive, but it overcomes these obstacles with a well thought out gear placement, and anyways IT GETS UP TO 28 CITY.
Overall review: I love it, it's incredibly functional and the only complaint I have is the power which if you buy the SE-R version is not a problem.

I miss my Sentra! by Mama2bebes in Stone Mountain Ga. on 03/31/2013. Trim: 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S, Owned 6 years.
Useful?
Pros: - This is a great city car, very fuel efficient. You could end up using twice as much gas with some other cars. - It handles well, maneuvers well, good turning radius. - Very reliable car. - cruise control, child lock, power locks/windows/mirrors/steering - visibilty! the way newer cars are designed, I can hardly see out of the sides and back! - One of the best features of the car, that I discovered after buying it, was the AUX in jack. I enjoyed being able to plug my cell phone in there and listen to phone calls and voice mails through the car's speakers. No one I talked to on the phone had any problem hearing me using the phone hands-free this way. Why don't all cars have this?
Cons: Back seat may be too small for some families. It can barely hold two eight-year-olds and their backpacks.
Overall review: I bought mine in Jan 2007, it was one-year-old with 29,000 miles a formal rental. I drove it until 113,000 miles when someone rear-ended me in March 2013. The car was declared a total loss because the frame was bent, but my eight-year-olds in the back seat WERE NOT INJURED, and I did NOT EVEN HAVE WHIPLASH. The air bags did not deploy. I am sadly feeling the loss because the monetary value given to me in compensation is well under the actual value of my well-maintained Sentra. It could have held up many more years. I would recommend this car to anyone unless they have a large family or big kids. I got an extended warranty from Warranty Direct for peace of mind, but the Sentra gave me no major problems. I only used the warranty to replace the CD player and one time when the right rear window mysteriously would not go up. When shopping for a used car and getting quotes for extended warranties, the quotes for Nissan Sentra are among the lowest of any make/model for a reason.

Nice little car by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/01/2012. Trim: 2006 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S, Owned 6 years.
Useful?
Pros: Acceleration, handling, gas mileage.
Cons: Seats can be a little uncomfortable on long rides.
Overall review: This is a great little car, fairly inexpensive. It gets great gas mileage and has been pretty reliable. We have had a defective oxygen sensor and fuel pump replaced by the dealer while it was under warranty but since have not had any problems. Overall, great little car.
