My HONDA coupe: setting the bar way up there............ by An MSN Autos Consumer on 04/30/2012. Trim: 2006 Honda Accord EX Coupe w/ Leather and XM Radio, Owned 7 years.
Pros: 2006 Honda Accord V-6 6M (manual transmission with swung clutch pedal): reliable: purchased new; only window regulators and an oil sensing (VTEC) solenoid in over 100,000 miles..... Fuel efficient: In 65 per cent highway/35 city the MPG is a constant 27-39 (winter fuel lowers fuel efficiency numbers)....... Swift: 0-60 reported by various sources as 5.8/5.9 seconds; QM seems constant at 14.5. Quiet on the freeway (but not so silent with the VTEC shift near 5,000 RPM on a long freeway on ramp high speed traffic merge.
Cons: About the only negative is the lack of clutch engagement feel due to the use of a slave cylinder check valve. The timing belt replacement cost may reduce $$$ levels at the 105,000 mark. This - combined with water pump, coolant, cam/crank seals, pulleys and serpentine belt replacement can run anywhere from $500 to $1500 depending on the choice of repair facility.
Overall review: Easily the best car I've ever owned - - using reliability, fuel efficiency, performance and cost per mile criteria...............

I have had 2 2006 hondas, both are junk by scodyw on 04/10/2012. Trim: 2006 Honda Accord EX V-6 Sedan AT w/ XM Radio, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Looks pretty good. - Sporty. - good road feedback.- Handles alright. -
Cons: Constantly had problems. - I hit my head on the roof getting in and out, at least once a month. - Felt slow for 244 hp, probably the gearing on the automatic.
Overall review: This thing was a peice of junk, it left me stranded three times. The trim was not lined up properly. Both fog lights shattered from reagular driving. The cooling fans failed at 57,000 mile, the heated seats failed at 68,000 miles. The charging system started failing, and I traded it in with slightly over 70,000 miles on it. (My 1999 neon lasted over 110,000 miles, and I only took it off the road due to the accumulated damage it had taken) I doubt if I will buy another Honda

2006 Accord Coupe - 1 awesome car by Travelin' Man from Coplay, PA on 12/09/2011. Trim: 2006 Honda Accord EX V-6 Sedan w/ Nav System/ XM Radio, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Bought this vehicle new in Jan. 2006. Currently has 75K with virtually no problems. Have driven cross-country several times as well as every day around town in all kinds of conditions, trouble-free
Cons: There is nothing to dislike. I had the clutch master cylinder replaced because the clutch was 'clicking', but functionally, iy was fine. That's about it.
Overall review: For some reason, I started thinking about getting rid of this car and replacing it with a new Honda Accord. After doing the usual research and weighing the pros and cons, I suddenly came to my senses. This 2006 Accord coupe w/nav, V6 & MT is the best car I have ever owned - why would I ever consider getting rid of it??

The Best Yet - GO HONDA! by sargebehr on 10/26/2010. Trim: 2006 Honda Accord EX V-6 Coupe AT w/ XM Radio, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Performance, handling, ergonomics, reliability, value, build, comfort, agility, timeless styling.
Cons: Rear seat room (as in every coupe I've ever seen) is adeuquate for two adults only, rear seems a bit 'sparse' on amenities (sidewalls, panels, etc.), hood lacks any insulation padding.
Overall review: Purchased this '06 EX-L Coupe W/XM radio used with only 30,000 miles (hardly 'broken in' for a Honda) and it's an amazing car (came from a '98 Accord EX-L V6 sedan w/175,000 trouble-free miles on it). Honda gets better with each 'generation' - and they make 'mid-term' significant improvements on them (as in the case of the '06's). Styling (particularily in the front end) is considered 'bland' by some, but I find it to be timeless in its appeal - in the years to come, it will still be considered an attractive design. Honda has perfected ergonomics and 'afterthought' in this generation - no other auto I've seen can compare and it's remarkable build. fit, and residual value leave all others far behind. This version of the 3.0L V6 has outstanding performance - it's proven to be one of the fastest stock cars 0-60mph (5.8 seconds w/6 speeed manual tranny) out there. Added 18-in. premium alloy wheels/tires from '09 Accord coupe - made handling/traction awesome! Great gas mileage, too.
