The laid back, more mature Evo/STi by Stavesacre21 from Lima, OH on 10/15/2008. Trim: 2006 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Grand Touring, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Power to Burn, Turbo, Excellent Brakes, Stable Handling, Plush Interior, HIDs, Auto up/down on all 4 windows, Gas Mileage, AWD, Lower Resale, No goofy space shuttle wing or scoop, Sleeper, Great mix of performance while still being pamperd.
Cons: Hit-or-miss problems, Infamous studder, Ridiculous stock clutch, Rear fold-down seats require removing trunk lining, Lower Resale, Factory GPS could be more user-friendly, Mazda Service slow as a snail, Comes with summer tires - MUST HAVE all-seasons for winter weather (this is mandatory), You'll want a garage for it, where's the boost gauge!?
Overall review: The Mazdaspeed6 has left me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand, I love driving it, as it's proven to be an extremely fun car to drive. It's mileage has been really good for a turbo (22/twn, 28/hwy in my findings). With 06 being the release year, there have been very hit-or-miss findings of problems, while others experience nothing at all. There exists a "studder" that most 06 MS6 owners experience that doesn't go away, nor does Mazda have an explanation for it. Again, some experience, some dont. The stock clutch is extremely tricky to learn, so much so that a TSB was issued by Mazda for those not happy with theirs. If you're looking for an MS6, you can pick one up for a great deal right now, however trying to sell experiences the other downside...low resale. Overall tho, with all the bad, I still love my MS6. For what it is, it's a GREAT car if you're looking for similar performance to the Evo or STi, but without all the extra hooplah that screams look-at-me. A true sleeper.

Awesome Mazdaspeed 6! by Mazdaspeed from OKC THUNDER! on 05/08/2013. Trim: 2006 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Sport, Owned 7 years.

Pros: I purchased '06 MSP 6 in Oct. 2006. This car has served me well until today with only normal wear. Engine is strong and reliable. It's 171,000 miles on it so far, I only have to do minor maintenance. Eventually, I sold it to another car guy, who bought it right on the spot. If I could have kept it..It will run pass over 200k without any problem. Love MSP 6!!!
Cons: UMhhh...nothing really! Because it's done a great job without giving trouble
Overall review: I would like to see the new Mazdaspeed 6 soon! Anyone who has owned this vehicle would tell you ...They love it!

" zoom zoom " by MazdaSpeedDemon from Brooklyn on 07/16/2008. Trim: 2006 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Grand Touring, Owned 1 year.

Pros: I drove 3 of these at my dealership, effortless power, even at 120mph it kept climbing quickly. If you can't afford a Beamer, this is the sports sedan for you. I drives like a go-cart.
Cons: It leans back too far taking off and switching gears when you push it to the limit. The back seat doesn't fold down.
Overall review: The best bang for the buck considering the competition.

Perfect balance of performance and practicality by arexsvn from boston on 02/16/2008. Trim: 2006 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Sport, Owned 2 years.

Pros: Great blend of performance and comfort...fast and responsive enough to enjoy a drive on twisty back roads but practical enough to handle the terrible Boston roads/weather.
Cons: Tires could be a little wider (and all seasons would have made more sense stock). Stereo is ok but not great. These are really nitpicks though, only noticeable because how well everything else is put together.
Overall review: The interior quality is great, and has the look of much more expensive cars. Power is very good, and once the engine is fully 'broken in' and you get used to the clutch it feels like a sports car without the overly punishing suspension. For the money you can't do better.

Keeps up with the STi and Evo by Q Denver on 10/08/2013. Trim: 2006 Mazda MAZDASPEED6 Grand Touring, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: great car
Cons: seats are not very comfortable for distance
Overall review: As long as you are doing your scheduled maintenance you should have no problems... Also each time you get your oil changed ask your mechanic to check the transfer case for leaks. Had a no name dealership do repairs to my Speed6 where there was a pretty ugly grinding sound coming from the front, they looked at it, said its the hubs and bearings so that was repaired but the mechanic didn't notice the leak coming from the transfer case, and after the I picked up my car thinking the problem was fixed.... no fluid in the Transfer case that thing locked up and I just about died. So a $200 service of the transfer case would have saved me $4012.00. I am currently in court about who should pay for the repairs....
