Decent Small SUV by Rick from Ft. Carson, CO on 06/20/2011. Trim: 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD, Owned 2 years.
4
Pros: The car is practical, decent gas-mileage, good on road-trips, great family car, very decent small SUV/Crossover.
Cons: Issues with the breaks, horrible with hauling stuff, even if it's just 500lbs. you feel the lack of power. Issues with the starter.
Overall review: good car as long as you still have bumper-to-bumper warranty

Best Value for the Money by LoveMyEquinox! on 08/19/2010. Trim: 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LS, Owned 2 years.

Pros: Good gas mileage over other SUVs. Mine is a 3.4L V6 and gets about the same gas mileage as my old Chevy Lumina did. Good acceleration. The interior room can't be beat (Sorry Honda & Toyota). I like the fact I can slide the rear seat for more leg room or more cargo space when needed. Quiet ride and hardly any mechanical issues. I purchased in 2008 with 4700 miles on it and it now has 54,000. I considered looking at the Honda CRV and the Toyota Highlander, but ended up getting more car/truck for my money with the Equinox.
Cons: Bad blind spots on each side. CD player went out at 29,000 miles, but was covered under warranty. Also have had minor emissions issues, as well as the brake booster needing fixed while under warranty. Headlamps are hard to change out....have to take the entire front grill off to get at the headlight assembly.
Overall review: I will buy another one. This is the second Chevy I have owned and it won't be the last.

Review of Equinox by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/14/2005. Trim: 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LT AWD, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros: Good Rear Leg Room. Roomy for tall people.
Cons: Interior looks cheap considering cost of vehicle. Do not like the way the tilt steering is designed. Seats could be more comfortable. Steering is too wide.
Overall review: Would reconsider before buying again.

Good Choice by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/12/2013. Trim: 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LS, Owned 5 years.
Useful?
Pros: Excellent gas mileage, comfortable, easy to get in and out of, 165000 miles and going strong. The right amount of features on the interior.
Cons: Wipers need more speeds, only two settings. They could of done better.
Overall review: Constant mid 20's per gallon. The 3.4 offers quick acceleration and decent millage. Looking for another 100k.
