A pleasure to own by Old Geezer on 08/24/2011. Trim: 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXL, Owned 5 years.
Pros: Purchased this vehicle new to replace a 98 Buick Century with 131,000 miles. 06 LaCrosse now has 73,000 miles and has been virtually trouble free. Vehicle has excellent roadability and comfort and has been superb for "road trips" All interior finishes are showing little or no wear . The positive experience with this 06 prompted me to buy an additional new 2009 LaCrosse CXL which now has 23,000 miles.
Overall review: This 06 LaCrosse was plagued with the "knocking steering shaft" problem that came from the factory on many 05 and 06 LaCrosses and I understand some Chevrolets. Had car back to dealer several times between 20,000 and 50,000 miles for "factory fixes" which did not work. Finally, in early 2010, factory found a permanent fix with a new steering shaft design and corrected the problem in my vehicle as though still in warranty although odometer had 60,000 miles. Have had no problem since. If you own one of these cars and hear a rattle or knock in the steering at low speeds check with a dealer about the steering shaft.

Needs Improvement and a vigilant buyer by Normally vigilant and carefull Driver on 03/31/2011. Trim: 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXL, Owned 2 years.
Pros: The power of the 3.8 litre engine.
Cons: The original paint job (can see peeling) and the molding in the car was not installed correctly. At 125,000 miles, I have had to change the all four struts, new battery, new tires, 4 wheel alignment and we still cannot find why there is a rattle (after spending $ 200 more ) when the car hits a series of small bumps. There is also "excessive play" in the bearings or the steering may be the culprits. To fix the bearings and the steering assembly is about $ 800 respectively. The mechanic is trustworthy. I bought the car based on the rating given on this website.
Overall review: I think I may have had my fill of Buicks for a while, There is information on line that Buick is aware of the problem and it may be related to the steering assembly. Buick should let us know what it is so that it can be fixed

Buick Redefined by Sweetrose78 Ohio on 04/02/2013. Trim: 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXL, Owned 7 years.
Pros: Very stylish appearance, heated seats, 3.8 L engine, trunk space, flash to pass feature, remote start, wood grain, DIC, tilted sunroof, Onstar.
Cons: Gas only gets an average 20 mpg in the city, back seat legroom.
Overall review: This car has great handling and is very pretty too look at. I have the slate metallic with chrome trim and chrome wheels, when this baby is shined and clean he's amazing. Has good pick up and go, can go from 0-60 in just a few seconds. Very quiet driving, when windows are rolled up, no outside noise comes in. The speakers are very loud and the sound is very crisp and loud, I only wish that it was a 6 disc changer instead of one, but oh well. Not as fuel efficient as I'd like and those with a bigger frame and longer legs aren't that comfortable in the backseat but overall this car is amazing.

"Certified Best Buy" by 2Travel4All from Cleveland on 11/02/2010. Trim: 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXL, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: CXL Trim. Comfortable Seats. Smooth Ride. Quiet Cabin. OnStar. Safety. Large Trunk.
Cons: City MPG. Criuse Control Buttons Not My Favorite.
Overall review: Bought the Car as a Certified Used GM Vehicle. This car is exceptional. The ride is smooth and quiet, even on the highway. The seats are very comfortable, even on long trips. Performance is very good and the car has a large trunk with fold-down seats. CXL Trim has all options needed and I am very happy with the purchase, especially the fit and finish. Definitely will consider Buick again.

Not for Grandma Anymore! by Tammy from Illinois on 03/25/2010. Trim: 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXS, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Gorgeous car, I was 32 at time of purchase and wanted something sporty but reliable enough for long-term travelling. It fits the bill of looks and luxury. The engine is great, plenty of get up and go and has an extremely smooth ride. I get compliments all the time on it!
Cons: I have the CXS Tiger Woods Gold limited edition. I think they went for looks more than comfort on this one. For long term traveling, it is not the most comfortable, my tires wore out before I put 24,000 miles on it, along with the tie rods. One of the tires had to be replaced before I left the lot with it. The remotes are also a bit of a hassel. I've had to have them repaired twice.
Overall review: I love this car! I would recommend it in a heartbeat! I have put Bridgestone tires on it and it has not had a problem since. Great car Buick! Look forward to buying the 2010!
