Pros: I love it!!!!!!!!!!! Smooth and easy driving with lots of room.
Cons: The interior shows dirt too easy. It could be just the color and fabric of mine.
Overall review: Very happy with it.

Better than an Infiniti by Doug From North Dakota on 09/05/2007. Trim: 2006 Pontiac Torrent AWD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Comfortable and styling. I have had neighbors come by just to look. They liked the looks when they have seen it sitting in the drive way. Mileage is acceptable. So far so good.
Cons: The cup holders are cheap. Turning Radius.
Overall review: We took ours on a 4000 mile trip this spring thru the mountains of Colorado. Handled excellent. We had passengers with that have a Infiniti SUV who were so impressed by the room and handling compared to their Infiniti. My neighbor has a Lexus SUV and he was impressed by the room, and ride compared to his Lexus

We love our Torrent !! by Car Guy from Albany on 11/10/2006. Trim: 2006 Pontiac Torrent AWD, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Great alternative to the Jeep/Explorer etc crowd. Smaller size with good gas mileage and plenty of power. Ours is Black in and out with sunroof and leather, elegant looking. Rides smooth, no wind noise, love the "airplane cockpit" red instruments at night, plenty of room for 5 with adjustable rear seat. Far superior to its predecessor vehicle Subaru Outback Limited. Everyone who sees it comments on how nice it is. Great value for the price, high residual resulted in a very attractive lease package. Onstar is a great safety feature.
Cons: Wish it had remote factory start, I understand the 2007 model has it.
Overall review: My wife who is not a car person loves it and that is saying something! She has laid claim to it as "Mom's car".

Best Bang for the buck SUV by whaas on 07/18/2006. Trim: 2006 Pontiac Torrent FWD, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Don't Look at the critics reviews (ecspecially consumer reports), price it, test drive it and look at consumer reviews. Smooth shifts, quick response, nice handling.
Cons: Loud engine and exhaust...as compared to sedans I have owned.
Overall review: I don't want to comment on subjective items but there is one thing that I just don't understand. Yes this is a chinese built engine and its spec'ed at 185HP. Considering its size it has plenty of power and pickup. I've owned a 2001 Supercharged Bonneville and a 2003 Mazda 6s which were both speced at over 200HP...guess what?, they weren't that much more zippy than the Torrent. Both my fiance and myself believe the Torrent was just as quick as the Mazda 6s which had 220HP. Its all about how the engine is paired with the transmission and the Torrent is superb for its value. Just as a side note, consider putting the silver tubular bars on, looks outstanding. Its a dealer accessory for $500...totally worth it. Doesn't look as good on silver though. Also why do I read about so many complaints on the handling? The handling is fantastic.
