Solid Looking Sports Car
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/27/2006.
Trim: 2006 Pontiac Solstice Roadster, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Handling is great.
Cons:
Lack of storage (both interior and trunk). Also, lack of acceleration in 5th gear.
Overall review:
Style can't be beat. Newer model years should be able to fix the minor dislikes.

Pros:
finally some sense coming to the streets out of an american automaker's factory. the style is leaps ahead from what i'd expect from the boring GM.
rear wheel drive - ha! how about that!
Cons:
where's the coupe? where's the V6? where's the automatic? how about not labeling every 2 door car a "sports coupe" and actually start making comfortable rides for 2 with decent HP, that doesn't require all of my limbs to operate and isn't harsh on my kidneys?
Overall review:
the car that got me excited as a concept will be given the right to exist as a domesticated miata. er, "woo-hoo"... better than nothing but not good enough for my cash. even if it's only 20K.

GM good job
by JP on 03/05/2010.
Trim: 2006 Pontiac Solstice Roadster, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
II love the car overall. Performance is 50/50 on the weight distribution. This is a great car for corners. Power as is (low-mild) 6 seconds to 60mph 100kph. For longevity it is great by upgrading the current engine with an aftermarket turbo you can easily get 300-400 hp out of this lightweight roadster.
I bought it used at 2006 Fully loaded 47K. The price was low in October (13K). Sound system can be heard by everyone when the top is down.
Cons:
I always get asked about it....... May not be a con by most.
Overall review:
For some reason people give me that jealous look all the time. Very great ramp appeal. Generally it is assumed I paid a fortune for it by lookers. I always get asked about it. Replacement parts if you need it ( I don’t) are cheap. The engine is common so cost $1700.00 new. Once I have this thing paid off a $2500.00 Turbo will go in it. 400HP.
I always want to drive this thing.

Cons:
Limited trunk space for traveling - get an aftermarket rack on the back!
Overall review:
This daily driver never stops turning heads: everybody always wants a ride - a 2nd and 3rd time. Its a winner.
