Rare Breed by Vanquisher from Orlando on 03/28/2006. Trim: 2005 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish S, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Uniqueness, Finish and Styling. Well matched performance on par with the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, but with better acouterments. Absolutely flawless finish. Reaction to the car from others is a plus. Rarity breeds awe.
Cons: Rarity, on the other hand, breeds excessive attention at times.
Overall review: Absolutely amazing. The vehicle of choice for market and concept. Definitely not as ubiquitous as the Ferrari brand, even in DB9 form, it is very attractive.

Rare and sweet but room for improvement. by 50thC5sc on 10/19/2005. Trim: 2005 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish Coupe, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: Rare, stylish.
Cons: Basically the same as the DB9 but $100,000 more. The car is overweight resulting in poor perfomance compared to peers.
Overall review: I asked the Aston Martin salesman why it costs $100,000 more and he could not justify the difference. That's what I thought.

Why a vanquish? by An MSN Autos Consumer on 10/07/2005. Trim: 2005 Aston Martin V12 Vanquish S, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros: styling is the best of any car in production, and in my opinion the best of any car ever produced, even better than the DB7, and that is something I never thought I would say. The ride, the placement of the controls, the feel of the handling; all are without peer.
Cons: Transmission is in need of some refinement as you know it is there when driving at the edge of the envelope. Acceleration is slooow for the engine, I am not saying as like a Maybach, but definatle not like a Ferrari.
Overall review: If you are/were looking for a racer, this is not it, buy the Ferrari; the again the styling of the Vanquish beats the Ferraris. If you are looking for supreme luxury, this is not it, buy the Maybach (either model), then again I actualy want to DRIVE the car and not just feel like I am "guiding" it around the roads. If you want a unique, smooth, reliable, faster (as in crush all the mass production "performance" cars)that says succes with common scense, then this is the car to buy.
