Excellent SUV with a mediocre Navigation System

Pros:
Very comfortable. Good visibility. Controls easy to access. Rear tailgate door not a problem with right-hand hinge. Not sure how many drivers actually park against a curb versus a lot space. Gas mileage (about 16 mpg in the city) much better than anticipated. Lots of power. Excellent brakes. Lexus service is superior to all other premium-brand automobiles. My dealer is open seven days/week until 11:00pm...you can't beat that when your family schedule is as full as ours. This is a real SUV that has great four-wheel performance. It doesn't leave you wondering whether off-road driving is a questionable option.
Cons:
GPS navigation difficult to program and not intuitive. Navigation sometimes suggests routes that are illogical, even in large, urban areas. Rear DVD awkward to control with DVD disk placement in vulnerable position. Trip computer awkward to use--I'd rather see this incorporated into the DVD controls on the dash. The DVD navigation system on my Acura MDX was much more intuitive, provided more usable information, and allowed for easy enroute adjustment of navigation commands. Distance between accelerator and brake pedals too close; causes occasional foot slippage.
Overall review:
Aside from some annoying Navigation System features, this is an excellent SUV and well worth the price...which, by the way, is much less than you would expect to pay for an SUV with the features and reliability it has.

Rear Tailgate.

Great SUV, Handles better than most trucks in its class, refinement and quiet competence you expect to find in a Lexus.

Pros:
I love the smooth ride of my 05 Gx470...You would never guess this is an SUV...This is my 2nd lexus(other was 05 lexus ES330) and my fiance has one(06 IS250 AWD) as well. I sell nissan's for a living but Lexus quality is 2nd to none. Guys at the shop kid me about owning a toyota but overpaying for name...couldn't be farther from the truth. Toyota skimps on quality issues that lexus would never overlook...Mostly ride quality and noise. Oh..don't get me started on resale value...they never lose value...I dare you to find a lexus for under $7,000 that is not 15 years old!! if your looking for a newer $7,000 car go for 08 chevy cobalt(don't really)...if your looking for quality stay with lexus.

Pros:
Acceleration and smoothness of ride. I often forget that im in a SUV. The power is there when you need it and it handles with ease.
Cons:
Its undeniably a SUV. GASOLINE ALCOHOLIC. Nowhere near as bad as other vehicles in its class but it is a drinker ! !
Overall review:
Great SUV !! Not a day goes by that I regret the purchase. When I approach the vehicle, I think "WOW" what a great looking SUV. As I sit inside, I think "WOW" I cant believe the comfort. When I drive in the city, I think "WOW" the handlings unbelievable. And it gets even better on the highway. Also, when I go to the pump to fill the tank... I think "WOW"... I’m here already??
