Pros: The 500 4 Matic is nimble tank. It goes in the winter like nobody'd business, and has great handling. Its fast, very fast.
Cons: Not so great on gas.
Overall review: Not your average family station wagon, but fun to drive and comfortable.

Family car by Aaron on 03/15/2014. Trim: 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon E500 4MATIC Wagon, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: comfortable seats (dynamic seats, built in child car seats, two reclining seats in the back, ), very good steering angel, rear door closes (pulls in) automatically.
Cons: side doors don't close automatically as rear door does, adjustment for the dynamic seats to low, GPS is poor, missing 120v outlet, alarm sound could be louder,
Overall review: I like the German love to the detail but don't forget a Mercedes-Benz is also a subject to law of physics it does break like everything else too! This vehicle was build in Austria not in heaven.

A Piece of Junk by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/29/2007. Trim: 2005 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Wagon E500 4MATIC Wagon, Owned 2 years.
1
Pros: The car handles beautifully.
Cons: Gas guzzler. The vehicle had many problems and for the first year had to go in for service at least once a month. Now the problems are about every three months. Mercedes has changed the design, and made the car much smaller, so it is no longer roomy for families. My 5 year old has no leg room in the back seat. Road trips are a horror.
Overall review: This vehicle is a piece of junk! It guzzles gas, and always has problems. The navigation system is horrible, it doesn't allow house numbers, and it does not allow many of the towns I try to put in. I would not reccomend this vehicle until Mercedes steps up and and makes this car the great vehicle it once was. The older 2002 model was a great vehicle.

1
Pros: Interior Space
Cons: Poor fit and finish. Sluggish response to acceleration with substantial transmission lag. Unreliable requiring frequent repairs.
Overall review: With a wagon like this, I might soon prefer a minivan
