Unbelievably FAST SUV - Get One!!!
by Poloboy from Chicago on 10/16/2009.
Trim: 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Unbelievable acceleration on the Turbo version... you're basically "launched" with its 480 hp engine.... couple this with the HUGE disc brakes (with the cool "red" calipers) which slows you down very rapidly = AWESOME German engineering!!!!
I have a triple black 05 turbo with all the goodies and it stands extremely aggressive with the complete package.
Cons:
Since I drive mostly in the city, the mileage is not exactly great... however, I knew this before I bought the SUV...
Overall review:
Overall, it's a great SUV... I previosuly owned a 4.4L BMW X5 and I thought that was fun - THIS guys is a blast!! Do not be fooled by other high end mid sized SUV's... pretenders all. If you want something that's fun to drive and can carry enough gear, this is IT!!
Porsche, the is NO substitute. NUFF SAID... BUY ONE.

First time buyer now converted to Porsche
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 12/20/2007.
Trim: 2005 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Wow. Best vehicle I have ever driven. Best of both luxury and performance...just drive one. I have owned MANY cars and suvs, nothing else compares. Drives better than my BMW M3. On top of all this you also get porcshe service... once again top notch and better than the service at the Jaguar dealership. Not a bad recommendation from a first time Porsche owner... even a first time buyer of a USED Porsche. 4 year, 50k mileage warranty made it easy.
Cons:
It took me too long to try driving one.
Overall review:
Make your life simple... just drive one.

Best SUV
by Knappworks on 11/23/2005.
Trim: 2005 Porsche Cayenne S, Owned less than 1 year.
1
Pros:
Nice ride, great tiptronic shift sequencing. Miss my TT
Cons:
automatic transmission tends to lag in shifting when trying to accelerate. Tiptronic is best use in this mode. Hard to rely on automatic downshift in traffic.
Head rest could use some reworking for short people.
Overall review:
Great overall drive. A little too much roll in the turns, but still hangs well. Wants to be a standard shift.
