Pros:
Drives and handles like a car. Like the audio controls on the steering wheel. Great price for all the features compared to Toyota and Honda.
Cons:
Would have loved if the seat covers were water proof. Cant think of any other problems since driven 2000 miles in 3 months. Read bench can seat 3 skinny people.
Overall review:
Got at a good price of 15,500 + tax. Gave me a mileage of 23 hwy and btwn 16-18 during city driving.

The Perfect Little Van
by LOVE MPV in Hawayee (Hawaii) on 01/16/2007.
Trim: 2005 Mazda MPV LX, Owned 2 years.
Useful?
Pros:
Nice interior features and great styling. Fabric is suede-like. Seats are comfortable. Roll down rear window are a super-plus. Most vans don't have this. My kids love it and I would too...less claustrophobic if you're in the back. Van weighs less than most (or all) so taxes are less in states that tax by weight. Van is narrower than most (or all), so parking is easier (as well as entering and exiting). My van doesn't have the heavy tinted windows, and I like that. It's great for viewing the world out there. Most vans have the rear windows heavily tinted.
Cons:
The gear shifter column blocks the A/C button when in "drive".
Surface rust showing on the brakes (under the wheels).
Parking brake lever should be more visible from exterior (to double check if brakes on after exiting vehicle).
Stereo system could be better, but it's acceptable.
Magazine pocket should also be behind front passenger seat (it is only behind driver seat.
Overall review:
Can't think of anything else I'd rather have right now. I love the van. I would recommend it. It's too bad it has been discontinued after 2006. Bad mistake, I think. Maybe Hyundai will pick up on some of this.

Pros:
I love the features that you get for the amount of money you pay. The MPV handles very well and is fun to drive. I loved this minivan!
Cons:
The gear shift blocks the radio. Resale value is pretty low.
Overall review:
Great minivan for the price. More standard options available than on comparable models.

Not your ordinary minivan
by MinivanConvert from Minnesota on 06/26/2006.
Trim: 2005 Mazda MPV ES, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
The "feel" of this minivan is fantastic. If you never seroiusly thought about owning a minivan because they didn't drive like a car, the MPV will change your mind. The look and amenities are on par with Honda and Toyota for less money.
Cons:
The one draw back to the MPV is the limited cargo area behind the third seat. It is great for groceries, but not for hauling all the kids sports equipment. The third seat would be better if it was a 60/40 split.
Overall review:
Overall I am very pleased with the new look MPV. Stylish and Sporty are not adjectives usually associated with a minivan, but this Mazda has both. Add in great pricing and and excellent warranty and it is hard to beat the value of this vehicle.
