Good value
by Rochester Dad on 03/27/2009.
Trim: 2005 Nissan Quest 3.5 S, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros:
The van handles great and has super pick-up for its size. Seats are quite comfortable. Kids are very comfortable and happy on long trips. Nice amount of room behind 3rd row for storage with its deep well. Feel very safe. Looks nicer than most vans. My wife and I are very content with safety features
Cons:
Doors freeze up too easily in Great Lakes winters. Heater/AC fan sounds like a jet engine without the air output equalling the noise output. Seating, particularly the headrests in the rear greatly block driver's view much more than in friend's Odyssey. Cheap feel to radio controls, cup holders up front. Would like back-lit cruise control butttons on the steering wheel. Too many rattles. But, if the heater is on, you won't hear them.
Overall review:
Overall, happy with choice. Got a good deal on a year old Quest with 11,000 miles. Has 40,000 on it now with no trips to service except replacing rear brakes which I did myself. Good overall value.

Nice Looking Van
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 01/28/2009.
Trim: 2005 Nissan Quest 3.5 SE, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
It is fast when it has to be! I like the airplane dashboard and it is not embarrassing to be in this van. I feel like my family is safe in it.
Cons:
Replacing the tires are costly. The tire inflation light always seems to be on. I would get the extended warranty on it, we needed it over the past 3 years.
Overall review:
I feel very fortunate to have this van. It has taken our family of four (and 2 dogs) on many long car trips very nicely. We have alot of good memories with this van for the past 3 years!

They feel as if they are driving in a limo
by switched to nissan now but loved my windstar on 08/18/2008.
Trim: 2005 Nissan Quest 3.5 SL, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
We loved this van. Our sl we purchased at a Nissan dealer in el monte, CA from Power Nissan. Our sales person Denyz was amazing, very cooperative, helpful. Paul the manager was friendly and willing to compromise.
What we like:
The overall roominess of the car. We have 2 kdies a teen and a toddler; the toddler's seat fits perfectly on the captain seats. Love the dvd player, the heated seats, it looks and drives like a luxury car. Our passengers feel almost like they are in a limousine! The bose system provides exceptional sound. Love the staged seating of the minivan, very nice. Every row sits just a bit higher than the previous, no one lacks a proper view.
Cons:
Can't say really dislike yet, but I am concerned about how long it is, it doesn't fit into our garage like our ford windstar did. Also, when you purchase your minivan, and b/c it's Nissan, it probably wasn't cheap...and if you purchased it 2nd hand like we did, ours had 40K + miles, so the manufacturer's warranty was no longer effective...which means, we had to purchase additional wrap around insurance another $2,500. This seems expensive at first until you recognize that this will last until $100K miles or 7 years and if you at just $7 more you can get free oil changes and tire rotations every 6K for 3 years. All of these are transferable.
Overall review:
Overall, this is a great car that retains it's value far more than many other cars out there, kia, ford, for example. You get what you pay for here. During the financing part, we were offered a bevy of options, that seemed lovely...couldn't afford them though and therefore went with what we thought was the basic.
What you purchase is in fact peace of mind. I think when you purchase a car like this, definitely do this from a Nissan dealer and not just any car mart. You will already see a big difference. If you have a car for any length of time, the only thing sure is that you will probably need some repairs at some time or other, the wrap around insurance will provide even the pre-owned vehicles coverage in addition to the typical "engine train" that it provided by certified dealers. Also, if you buy from a Nissan dealer, who has certified a car, they are more likely to bend over backwards to make sure they earn your business. Thanks Power Nissan in ElMonte!

Mini-maveric
by Jan on 05/21/2007.
Trim: 2005 Nissan Quest 3.5 SE, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
Love the unique dashboard. Don't like that they've changed it since the 2005 model. Love the auto side door and back gate door, the wide access in the second row with a handle bar for older folks or others who might need it. Roominess, especially with 2 back seats flattened for "cargo" use. Dealer service center ...great!
Cons:
Battery even in 1st & 2nd year not as good in cold weather as with Sienna I had for 5 years. Gas mileage, but as good as the rest of the minivans.
Overall review:
In 2005, MUCH deliberation and test driving to decide between leasing Odyssey, Sienna and Quest. Will definitely consider leasing the Quest again.
