Pros:
Hauls plenty of stuff, great gas mileage, incredible value, no maintenance issues what so ever after 40k hard miles, tows more than its rated for, never lets me down!
Cons:
Clutch is made for a smaller car (5 speed)
Overall review:
I am 17 years old and this car has been passed down to me to drive daily. I did not like the car when I first got it, I would rather have had an old pickup truck or something. But I have slowly but surely fallen in love with the old thing. I like the neutral styling (not too femenine like most compact SUV's aka Rav 4). We have the 5 speed manual and it is really what makes the car fun. I pull a 17 foot boat with a 4 stroke and it does fine. I have never found something that didnt fit in it and you cant beat the gas mileage. The engine has enough power for it's purposes (you really won't need the V6) and you cant beat the utilitarian value of this car. Let them have their Pruises and F250's, the Vue is for me.

Useful?
Pros:
The engine has a lot of muscle. Great take off ability. The rear seats are comfortable for large adults. Plenty of storage in the back with the seats down. I like the original shape, its not as ugly as the newer rounded versions. Top highway mgp has been 23. The AC and heater both work outstanding.
Cons:
Front end squeaks a bit when turning. The passenger windows switchs are hard to reach from the drivers seat. The automatic transmission downshift during uphill grades with the cruise on is a bit startling at first. City gas mileage isn't good, average is around 20mpg. Agressive driving will really kill your mpg. Replacing the radio is a pain, but not really Saturn's fault. The aftermarket kit for this Vue is terrible, it doesn't fit. I had to cut it to make it fit in the hole. Plus I had to tape the deck into the kit.
Overall review:
Very cheap to maintain. So far with 75k miles we have only had to change the front break pads, and the air filter. We will change the timing belt next year, and the dealer is only charging $400 to do that. The interior is very plain, I think the 06 has some nicer accents. Don't spend money on the AWD, its not really worth any extra $. The V6 is very high quality.
