I'd buy it again by Columbus, OH on 08/26/2010. Trim: 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GTS, Owned 4 years.
Pros: Bought new and love it last 05 on the lot. With back seat down can easily handle 2 sets of golf clubs. 31mpg on the highway which was unexpected. Approaching 60,000 and no real problems. I like the sun roof which retracts fully. My wife loves to drive the 5 speed. Also not too bad in the snow.
Cons: Wide turning radius; Rear hatch door can be heavy; It is really a two seater. Noise rattle in front end over bumps that had never been diagnosed but does not effect the driving.
Overall review: The GTS has great acceleration, gets great gas mileage and is a blast to drive. The 05 is the last year for this Eclipse body style which I like much better than the newer style. I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Great little car ! by bcoop on 07/27/2008. Trim: 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: bought this car 6 weeks ago, had been converted to a cold air induction system, car is tight, great gas mileage, and the pearlescent white color is great on the car. Bought for economy, not racing, and on the highway yesterday got 29.6mpg...good handling; go add XM radio-you will love the sound system then ! This car is one of the best kept secrets in the auto industry; I used to have Nissans; this compares very favorably quality-wise. If you want a "sports car" without the insurance rates through the roof, GET THIS CAR!
Cons: The only thing I dislike is that the sunroof does not open, instead "cracks" open at an angle, but for the money, I can live with it.
Overall review: The car handles beautifully, looks good sitting still, drives comfortably, lots of leg room in the front; very good gas mileage, accelerates when asked to, and for it being a 4 cylinder, plenty of "spunk". Add the cold air induction system to it, you will like the end results. Seats are comfortable, gauges easy to read, and with all the little options which come with this model, it is way underpriced. Looks like Mitsubishi has gained someone who will buy a new model eventually and not consider going back to Nissan (nothing wrong with Nissan however, but for what you get for your money, heck!). And, insurance rates are low !!!

Fantastic Ride by Rascalman on 03/05/2009. Trim: 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT Spyder, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Perfect size. Operation of the top is among the best. Great acceleration, and great fuel economy. Fantastic car.
Cons: None really, if anything it could use a tighter turning radius for parking, but hey why park it--just ride.
Overall review: I bought this 05 in 2008 and it had only 14000 miles on it. I use it for pleasure rides, weekend trips, and anytime I want to make the drive enjoyable rather than just having to go somewhere. Wife, myself, and small dog needed more room for luggage than an S2000 or a Miata offered, otherwise, great cars. The carry capacity of the Solstice and the Skyy is nonexistant with the top down. Highly recommend this vehicle to anyone needing just a little more carry capacity than just 2 seaters offer.
