The Light-Heavyweight Champ by Cleveland All Arounder on 07/17/2012. Trim: 2005 Audi S4 (Early 2005) Sport Sedan, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Everything. The styling, inside and out is beautiful, the fit and finish is impeccable, and the overall quality is oustanding. The clutch is light as a feather and you will have no problem driving the car all day, even in the city. Yes it is a heavy car and the v8 sits up front, but the steering is light and responsive so the car feels great when you toss it into a corner or switching lanes at any speed. Think of it like Clay Matthews with ballet shoes on. It stands out, but not in a way that will attract unneeded attention. The recaro seats are comfortable and snug. The bose system has plenty of power.
Cons: Speed limits. It's very easy to catch yourself doing well over the speed limit because of the smoothness of the acceleration. Every passager I've had in the car cannot believe how fast we're actually going at the time. 110mph feels like 65. Ride is tight and can be harsh a times over bumps, but will never beat you up. If that's a problem, go buy something else. MPG all depends on how you drive it. Coasting on the freeway I recieve 22-23 mpg at 70-75 mph cruise and have recieved as much as 25 mpg. Hammer it, and you'll see low teens. Either way, turn the key and nothing else matters.
Overall review: Tips - Stick to the manual, it's the only way to truly see what the car is capable of. Keep your rpm's over 3k and hold on. The car loves to hustle. Spend the money and get the right tires. I use Eagle GT's for the summer and Continental's through the winter. Handles better than any truck. Stick to the service manual (seriously) and you'll never have a problem. Make friends with a Tech who can get you cheap parts and your set. Make sure the timing chain tension is good. Between the comfort, quality, styling the quattaro AWD system, steering, v8 power, it's one of the best all around cars.

Well worth the money! by S-4 in NorCal on 07/16/2007. Trim: 2005 Audi S4 (Early 2005) Sport Sedan w/ Tiptronic, Owned 3 years.
Pros: Has plenty of power for most people, if not get the RS-4. We actually own an S-4 and have for nearly 3 years. The engine most definitely does not feel like a "heavy V-6" like one reviewer said. Cruises well over the speed limit without breakin a sweat and handles mountain roads with no problem.
Cons: Ride can be a little harsh on square edged bumps and expansion joints.
Overall review: Well worth checking out! We'll probably get another one in 2008.

Great fast wagon!!!! by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/10/2007. Trim: 2005 Audi S4 (Early 2005) Sport Sedan, Owned 1 year.
Pros: It's fast, handles great. looks cool, recaro seets are comfortable and the interior is well equiped and built with quality and style.
Cons: We had a tiptronic car first and didn't like how slow it shifted. ( manual is alot better) and there is not enough rear leg room.
Overall review: Great over all car. Fastest station wagon I have ever driven yet refined enough to drive every day.
