An efficiente full size truck
by Jermi on 09/20/2008.
Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid 1500 LS Ext. Cab 2WD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
I love everything about it. For the first attempt of a full size hybrid it is great! The mileage is spectacular and It runs great
Cons:
It takes a long time to get repaired due to low stock of parts for this type of vehicle
Overall review:
The 120 outlets work great I use them for my saws on jobsites when I need to.

Built for the interstate drive
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/23/2006.
Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid 1500 LS Ext. Cab 4WD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Great performance in rush hour traffic, a.)Truck responsive to changing traffic conditions - Ability to accelerate and slow down with depending on breaks. Drive 125 miles a day and use approximately 1/2 gallon more gas than I did with old 98 Dokata.
b.) overall comfort of cab, handsfree phone & radio controls, satallite radio, onstar, layout of instruments, driver message center etc.
c.) blends in well with traffic.
Cons:
Stock tires not as good as Micheline LTX, tend to slide during high speed acceleration, however truck very responsive to counter slides/skids.
Overall review:
Moderately priced truck which preforms well on the interstate. Worth considering! Mine has made my daily commute a breeze.

Silverado Hybrid a decent buy.
by Mike D. from California on 07/23/2006.
Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Silverado Hybrid 1500 LS Ext. Cab 4WD, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
The starting and stopping of the engine at low speeds is un-noticable. There is no loss in power with the electric motor integration.
Cons:
Hybrid technology could still use improvement on fuel economy with this truck. The biggest problem is when something needs to be repaired on the truck, it takes weeks to repair because all the parts are low in inventory and need to be ordered and are usually back ordered.
Overall review:
Overall great truck... Chevy needs to continue to better the technology.
