Great Luxury and Reliablility for the Price by Jim in Chicago Suburbs on 02/04/2009. Trim: 2005 Lexus ES 330 Sedan, Owned 4 years.

Pros: The body style is sleek yet conservative. Interior is comfortable but could use a little more rear seat room. Controls are nicely laid out and easy to reach. It looks like high quality and it is. Lots of nice features are standard. The car has decent power and acceleration but is not a speed burner by any means. Fuel economy is ok at 24 mpg average. I get 18 city and 30 highway with mid-grade. The traction and stability control works great in the harsh Chicago winters. No skidding or sliding even in heavy snow.
Cons: Tires and brakes seemed to wear a little faster than expected but other than that I have no complaints. Service at my Lexus dealer is great but it's not cheap. In all honesty, I didn't expect it to be. Most things, though, are not too bad and the car comes back on time and immaculate. Best service I've had from a dealer.
Overall review: From my experiences, I would recommend this car. It's been very reliable and has been impeccably maintained. People have complained about the tranny but I had a software update done and it's been fine. I think some people just look for things to complain about. If the car is properly maintained it will perform well for many years. There is a reason Lexus has topped the JD Powers list for reliability for 14 years in a row.

It's just a name by Ms J Lanham,Md on 05/20/2009. Trim: 2005 Lexus ES 330 Sedan, Owned 1 year.

Pros: Navigation system, style of the vehicle, interior, especially the perforated seats they keep you cool in summer and warm in the winter and all the other great features.
Cons: Slow take off and hesitation when pressing on the gas. Idle to high RPM's at 3 from start up not good.
Overall review: It's ok..... A lexus is nothing more than an Toyota with all the bells and whistles. And if you loose your job Lexus can't help you they'll say I'm sorry to hear that and offer to defer 2 payments for you and if you don't find a job in two months they can.... take possession of the car.

If you value quality and reliability over excitement... by misslisa on 04/25/2008. Trim: 2005 Lexus ES 330 Sedan, Owned 3 years.

Pros: Comfort and luxury all the way - wood steering wheel, heated & air-conditioned seats, very nice leather, cup holders and controls perfectly located, quiet & smooth ride. Braking is very good. Contrary to the complaints of others, the tires have held up much longer than expected. The most reliable car I've ever owned in 25 years of driving. Not a gas hog. The bang for the buck is unbeatable.
Cons: A thriller it ain't. My previous car, a Lincoln Mark VIII, would take off like a rocket at the tap of the gas pedal. The ES330, on the other hand, hesitates a bit before shifting, and takes a little longer to pick up speed. I'm unhappy with the steering - feels "floaty" & doesn't offer me the control & crisp handling of the Mark VIII, or the Infiniti I owned prior to that. I wish it had a telescoping steering wheel. Finally, the buying experience sucked - the Lexus dealers in the Phoenix area hearken back to the shady, slimy hucksters of yesteryear.
Overall review: If you're looking for luxury, comfort, and reliability at an excellent value, this is THE car. My friends all love to ride in it and think it's the bomb. But if you value performance, handling & excitement above all, then this is NOT the car.
