Bitten by a Viper by Bandit on 02/07/2007. Trim: 2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible, Owned 2 years.
Pros: Acceleration (will turn 3.9sec to 60mph), brakes (have to experience to appreciate), handiling (incrediable due to deep penetration of turns thanks to the brakes, and agressive out with 525lbs of torque). Styling - Helen of Troy would come a distant second to this beauty! Receive praises by both sexes daily.
Cons: Have to leave in the garage when raining, not stable in wet conditions. Only missing feature that needs to be incorporated is an automatic garage door opener in the rear view mirrior.
Overall review: Exceeds all the manufactures hype. Drive daily (currently at 30,000 miles)and acheiving 19mpg at posted speed limits. Exceptional reliability for a performance auto of this caliber, only cost is an oil change every 3000 miles through the first 30,000 miles.

Cheap Thrills. -- An exotic for a price less than a Corvette by El Cazador in SoCal on 02/06/2014. Trim: 2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Track car with license plates Abundant power (Are you kidding me!!) Sure braking Outstanding looks -- a Classic Repairs easily No emissions to speak of from Smog test --I was shocked
Cons: Hot, hot, hot -- needs heat insulation material installed under carpeting; run AC on drives Burns on legs when wearing summer shorts. If not careful exiting Parts = expensive (Meet the $1,000 replacement shock absorber) Difficult exit from interior Cheap audio electronics (what's new?) Small fuel tank to feed such a beast
Overall review: First off, I'm a car guy and have a reviewer's credentials. My daily driver is a 2007 Porsche Turbo and I own and have owned several exotic Driving impressions - It is a FAST car. It's got horsepower to throw away. A track racer with a license plate. You must keep your hands firm on the steering wheel; those big front tires want to wander out of road lanes on their own. Cabin temp is HOT after 30 min. of driving and the door thresholds will cook bare legs due to the side exhaust pipes. I'm installing sound/heat insulation panels under the carpeting. Adding thick carpeted floor mats also helps. Previous owner install the 1-4 gear skipping bypass device and that is appreciated. Styling, fit & finish, and aesthetics - The overall impression of the body panel fit, the paint job, the styling is great. No worries or disappointments here. Bottom Line -- Buy yours and put a big smile on your face. Get a low miles car; plenty out there.

"Tire tearing fun....." by Copperhead customer, Augusta, GA on 06/23/2011. Trim: 2005 Dodge Viper SRT-10 Convertible, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Rubber ripping fast out of the hole, make sure it's pointed in the right direction.... Stereo is great, air conditioner can freeze you out.. You can't go anywhere that people aren't thumbs up or asking questions, it's a head turner..
Cons: Keep out of the heavey rain, it hunts in the puddles..
Overall review: I've had many vettes, great cars for the money.. Once you try a Viper there's no turning back, it truley is addictive..
