More bang for the buck than any import

Pros:
Great value for the dollar. I have the SXT special edition with the upgraded audio system and can shake the mirrors with the subwoofer blasting. Looks great, handles great, great fuel economy
Cons:
The cheap goodyear tires are do not give great road feel, but I will blame that on Goodyear and not Dodge
Overall review:
Just sorry these are not made any more. The Caliber is too weird looking and too much useless add-ons that just make it more expensive and more likely to break down. The Neon is/was economical and reliable and is missed. Still glad I got mine!

Pros:
Very sporty. Very nice to drive.
Cons:
I have a lot of trouble with it starting. Have had it in the shop four times. They put in two fuel pumps and grounded the fuel pump. I hope this will correct the problem. Can't trust going out of town for fear it won't start again.
Overall review:
It seems to be built strong and has a good sound system.

SRT-4 ACR = best Neon ever

Pros:
Excellent handling, speed, braking, sound, stereo, etc. This car is amazing. I can run high 13's in the quarter mile, destroy the autocross course (I have the ACR), and still get 24-30mpg cruising to and from work every day.
Cons:
Huge wing is a cop magnet; I wish they offered it without. The racing seats are great for short trips, but long trips can cause some discomfort.
Overall review:
I love this car. This is my second Neon (previous was a 2002 base) and I've never had problems with either. I have fun every day in this thing and I plan to keep it for a long time.

Pros:
I like the sleek styling and the good gas mileage. I have the 5-speed manual and recently got 38.5 mpg on a 1000-mile road trip. Seats are very comfortable, radio/CD player sounds good. The car was a real bargain when I bought in in 2005 -- $12,400 !! Have not had any trouble with it after 3 years. Wish they still made them -- bet other people do, too, with gas at $3.48 per gallon : (
Cons:
No serious complaints. The 4-wheel disc brakes that used to come on the old Neon Sport were stronger than the front disc, rear drum setup on this car, but the braking is adequate.
Overall review:
Neons are good cars -- I have two of them. My old one is a '95 with 223,000 miles, and still runs well -- still gets 38 MPG on the highway, too!
