Great Long Term Performer by An MSN Autos Consumer on 06/27/2013. Trim: 2005 GMC Yukon 2WD, Owned 8 years.
Useful?
Pros: I am 6"-2" and 285 Lbs. This is a comfortable truck with easy access. I have the SLT model with 5.3 V8. The ride is smooth for a truck. Ergonomics are great all-around. Carries 4 people comfortably and has two additional, removable, seats (that only a gymnast or child can access). I now have 107,500 miles on it and have had to replace the water pump today (along with both belts and thermostat - parts/labor/tax = $580). Original brakes still in fine shape. Replaced shocks/struts just to keep it tight. No other repairs.
Cons: Not much. I replaced the windshield to get rid of dings and noticed a reduction in road noise, so the original may not have been sealed properly. I have the factory CD based navigation system and am not a fan, my iPad Mini is more fun, but it is not hands free.
Overall review: Great value, even if it cost a bundle ( I sprang for the all leather interior, sunroof, and DVD and Bose entertainment system). After all these years it is hard to find something to dislike. Very little repairs, but I do keep up with maintenance. Best vehicle I have had.
