Dad and Kids Love It
by Joe on 08/06/2005.
Trim: 2005 Ford E-150 Chateau, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Overall value, size, space, handling.
Cons:
Vehicle weight limits responsiveness. On the bright side though, there is almost no noticable dropoff in performance when towing a boat. Seems to accelerate with boat in tow as easily as without. Gas milage just shy of 16 MPG.
Overall review:
Love it. Great for big families and long trips. No need to even think about a Turtle.

Excellence Vehicle
by Frank on 07/28/2005.
Trim: 2005 Ford E-350 Chateau Super Duty, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
With the v-10 and 4.10 RA ratio, this is a great tow vehicle for our Travel Trailer. It sits up, the top being slightly over 84" high. Our mileage has been good. Mph is 8.5 to 10.6 towing and 12 - 14.8 without the trailer. No problems in the first 4650 miles. Would buy again.
Cons:
The odometer LED is not very bright and sometimes difficult to read.
Overall review:
I wouldn't take corners too fast. Superb for towing a trailer like ours.

Wont get another If I can help it.
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 07/18/2005.
Trim: 2005 Ford E-150 XL, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
For only having a 4.6L V8 it has spunk. (and low rear gears)
Cons:
Turns like a sherman tank, hard to see out other than foward, brake lights dont stay on when pedal is off resting position, AC does not work well at all at stand still, paint is very thin and shows scratches very easily - where step up in door is the paint has worn off from my shoe (within 20k miles of new), gas pedal is touchy (dont try to park too close to anything as you will run it over).
Overall review:
I am not fond of Ford they havent taken care of some of the serious issues, such as the harsh transmission shift that feels like a 40MPH+ impact and the thermostat is bad, some other minor problems radio has a mind of its own, front end clunk. In all honesty dont buy this vehicle unless you are just hard up for a Ford. P.S. keep a fire extinguisher handy.

its not a mini-van. And its nearly indestructible.
by David from Sarasota on 07/10/2005.
Trim: 2005 Ford E-350 Chateau Super Duty, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Best view of the road from the massive front windshield.
Cons:
Its big, but now where else will you find similar interior space like this.
Overall review:
Every mini-vans third row of seats backs against the rear door. In the E350, I have 4 to 5 feet in every direction for storage beyond the third row seat.
