Good ride by GCS from MN on 12/16/2011. Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4WD, Owned 6 years.

Pros: This has been a great vehicle. Bought it new, and now have about 73,000 miles. Very comfortable road vehicle and gets pretty good gas milage for its size - around 19-20 mpg on the hiway. I have gotten as good as 22 mpg. Also used it for towing a camper and it did so effortlessly. Still on the original tires and battery! Only repair was to fix a clunk in the steering under warrenty.
Cons: Nothing
Overall review: Reliable, comfortable, useful, great vehicle!

The best full size SUV for the money by Guido, Florida on 10/12/2004. Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 2WD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros: You can't buy a better XL full size SUV for the money. Very comfortable ride (Premium package), even better as our 2004 Navigator. Powerfull and quit engine. Satellite radio is great. For 2005 there is also the Navigaton system (from the escalade?) available. GMC and Cadillac just charge more money for the same vehicle. The 5.3 engine is able to use E85 gas!
Cons: Needs new look utside and inside.More premium material inside. Last wish, the BMW Diesel engine from Europe with 300hp, 500 pound of torque and maybe 25+ miles per gallon...
Overall review: You can feel that GM is in the big full size SUV business for years. This one is not as much a truck as the Excursion, it is even more comfortable than the Navigator. Great truck for the big family or if you tow.

Useful?
Pros: Size, power, ride, low maintenance
Cons: None
Overall review: Driven over 100,000 miles with only cost being regular maintenance and tires. Have owned several SUVs and this is the best.
