Good ride by GCS from MN on 12/16/2011. Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4WD, Owned 6 years.
4
Pros: This has been a great vehicle. Bought it new, and now have about 73,000 miles. Very comfortable road vehicle and gets pretty good gas milage for its size - around 19-20 mpg on the hiway. I have gotten as good as 22 mpg. Also used it for towing a camper and it did so effortlessly. Still on the original tires and battery! Only repair was to fix a clunk in the steering under warrenty.
Cons: Nothing
Overall review: Reliable, comfortable, useful, great vehicle!

If you have nine grandchildren this is the truck. by Mike M Abilene, Texas on 07/18/2013. Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4WD, Owned 8 years.
Useful?
Pros: GM got the steering and stability right. The other three Suburbans I have owned had stability problems. My 2005 is 4wd and with tire chains in icy mountain conditions can go anywhere.
Cons: Third seat awkward to remove.
Overall review: Great truck, it pulls pipe trailers and horse trailers and does it well. The trailer package and 4wd comes in handy in West Texas.

the best ever by the little old lady from pasidena on 08/22/2012. Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 4WD, Owned 4 years.
Useful?
Pros: it is the most comfortable ride i have ever had. having 52 cars between my husband and i in the past 50 years. we have had every american make and several foriegn makes, and the suburban surpasses them all.
Cons: The fuel milage is bad, but if that is what it takes to feel safe on the road, its well worth it.
Overall review: i can't say enough good things about this vehicle
