Not a completely happy wagon owner.
by Maria, Utah on 04/21/2009.
Trim: 2004 Mazda Mazda6 Sport Wagon s, Owned 5 years.
1
Pros:
The appearance of the car is great. For a station wagon, it still appears quite sporty. I love how fast it will go, with little pressure on the gas pedal. I also appreciate the radio and cruise control features on the steering wheel. With the back seats down, it is really roomy for a small vehicle. I was able to fit three car seats in the back seat.
Cons:
The car is very low profile for a wagon, constantly getting stuck in the snow. Certainly was not designed for areas with bad weather. The red dash lights are annoying. The silver finish on safety brake and doors are flaking off. The radio display burnt out by the second year of owning the car. The fabric used for seats is awful and stains easily. The tires that the car came with were extremely cheap. To replace the tires is a major expense as these are not stock and have to special ordered.
Overall review:
I've loved the zip and spaciousness of the vehilce, but, am not sure if I would buy another.

OKAY CAR
by ITSMEDML on 03/12/2007.
Trim: 2004 Mazda Mazda6 Sport Wagon s, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
The power in the car was great. It could really take off. I was always getting compliments on the way it looks.
Cons:
I had many problems with the steering column. Had to take it in twice this last year. And they still did not get it right. Warranty was up so we decided to trade in for another car. Needless to say we did not get another Mazda. Also not very much leg room in the back. Three adults could not fit in the back.
Overall review:
Power is great in this car but that was the only thing I really liked about it.

Trim: 2004 Mazda Mazda6 Sport Wagon s, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
likes........styling, roominess, acceleration and best of all, the price after only 1 year.
Cons:
glad I didn't buy new at 23k or 24k.
maybe just the actual fuel economy. average has been about 21 to 22 and best ever around 27 on the highway. I thought it would be better.
Overall review:
wasn't shopping for this brand and model, but the price on a year old model was too good to pass up.

Zoom-Zoom with Room

Trim: 2004 Mazda Mazda6 Sport Wagon s, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Great looking and spacious handling wagon that falls under the radar in traffic. A killer Bose sound system. Unless you look in the rearview mirror you won't know you're driving a wagon as this car drives and handles like a sports car.
Cons:
Fuel economy is less then expected...
All window switches should be one touch up and down...
Day time running lights are too bright and can make you forget to turn on all the lights at night...
The restyled 2006 version is so gorgeous I want to trade mine in...
Overall review:
Pros far outweigh the cons. A great car for Mom, Dad and the 18 year old racer that lies within some of us!

Stylish car
by Darci from Cali on 09/19/2005.
Trim: 2004 Mazda Mazda6 Sport Wagon s, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
I like the smooth ride and the acceleration. Inside interior nice. Stylish on the outside. Brakes work good. Handles excellent on curvy roads through the canyon.
Cons:
Back seats are uncomfortable. And poor gas mileage.
Overall review:
Bought car in Aug 04. In Jan 05 had to take Mazda in for a throttle body repair. Then in July 05 had to take it in for grinding in the steering wheel and to reset the engine light that had came on. In Sep 05 I've been to the dealership twice. Once for the clock coil another time for the throttle body. Yes again! Also to reset the engine light that came on.
