Amazing fuel economy for such a large SUV. NOTHING else like it. Tons of room and towing compacity.
Cons:
Hard to park.
Overall review:
Wish they still made it, I'll have to keep mine forever.

Pros:
towing capacity and power with great fuel economy!
Cons:
wish it had the upgraded interior of the expedition when I purchased it. A port in the dash radio to plug in my xm radio would have been nice too.
Overall review:
Bought new. Replaced exhaust system do to vibration on acceleration during first 2k miles. Turbo failure at 30k. All done under warranty. No problems since (52k) Best vehicle I have ever owned! Tow 11k pound trailer with little effort. fuel economy 16 mpg overall, 13mpg pulling trailer. Would by another in heart beat if available. Will keep this one until the wheels fall off!

Excellent option for a family rig. Diesel engine is a must!
by Alvarinho on 04/22/2009.
Trim: 2005 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer 6.0L 2WD, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Excellent vehicle for a family of 4 plus. Confortable ride, enough space for everything, great towing capacity. Perfect for a 6.0 plus foot person, some minor problems, handling could be difficult if you are not used to big monsters
Cons:
Nothing so far, but it could be a challenge to parallel park if you are not experienced. I wish it came in a manual transmission
Overall review:
I bought mine used with 43 K, but in pretty good shape. It took me more than 4 months to find this monster. It had to be DIESEL since the option to adapt the engine to Bio-diesel is easier and much better for the environment.

Pros:
Everything SAFE Comfortable Rugged Fuctionable This truck is everything i wanted and expected.
Cons:
High engine reves Power not getting to the pavement. This is common with the Triton series motors. My F150 4.6 did the same thing. You have to learn how to pedal the automatic transmission.
Overall review:
Big depreation in trade in value, last couple months . Thank the economy and gas prices. But if you like these trucks, it is a great time to buy one. I have had so much fun in mine this past year with my friends and family. With a click of a switch on the dash, i am 4 wheeling on the beach. We go to the outer banks N.C. Its so cool to pull up on the beach and break out your stuff. We pull the third seat out and make a bed and pop a dvd in. The look on my daughters face when i pick her up awesome. The look on my exes face when were pulling off priceless.

Roomy and Safe!
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 11/09/2007.
Trim: 2005 Ford Excursion Limited 6.0L 4WD, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
Love this vehicle - perfect for our family of 6 - we travel in comfort and have room for all their "stuff" and extra friends and family. We feel so safe on the road esp. in the winter - it just plows thru the snow. Plenty of room for all the ski and summer activity equipment right inside.
Cons:
Gas hog so we use only when need the room and safety on the highway not around town vehicle.
Overall review:
We love this car and have had no mechanical problems - if gas was cheaper we would use all the time - tight in the parking lots so park farther out.
