Ultimate Full-Size by BMB from MN on 03/09/2006. Trim: 2005 Ford Crown Victoria LX, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I have 17000 miles on my LX and have had zero problems. One of the most comfortable cars I have ever had. The ride is very quiet and almost too relaxing. Gas mileage is very good for a car this size and weight...avg 17city/27hwy....better than most SUV's. One of the last cars with a V-8 which runs and drives very smooth, quiet and has plenty of power compared to V-6's.
Cons: Nothing so far, although with so many power and automatic features, wonder about reliability of these items in the future.
Overall review: Hopefully Ford keeps Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis in their line-up, with the V-8 and body on frame construction. A fresh-up on the exterior looks is all that is necessary. If your in the market for a full sized car, the CV or GM should not be overlooked.

Solid Cruiser by FordMan on 10/21/2005. Trim: 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Base, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: This car has the comfortable, competent feel of traditional full-size Fords, performance comparable to the big Fords of the 60's and 70's, and surprizingly good gas mileage.
Cons: My only disappointment is that trailer towing capacity, depending on which Ford document you read, is either 1500 or 2000 lb. I have towed an 1800 pound trailer with the car and I get the impression that it could comfortably handle a 5000 lb. trailer. I don't know why Ford rates it so low.
Overall review: I still drive my first car, a 67 Ford Galaxie, the standard against which I judge all other cars. The performance, comfort, and safety of this car is what I expect of a full-size Ford -- maybe even a little more. Braking is far superior to the older Fords; handling is noticably better; power and acceleration are close to the older Fords.

One of the best cars on the road, bar none by Dan on 03/22/2005. Trim: 2005 Ford Crown Victoria LX, Owned 1 year.
Pros: Great value for the money. I have owned 2 before this one and they were all great durable trouble free cars. In my opinion they are the best cars on the road. Great styling, good power, lots of room, and for the size of the car, great gas mileage. Excellent gas mileage when compared to my Explorer with a V6. This car looks great and is tried and true, Ill continure to buy them forever. I would suggest this car to anyone who is looking for a durable, long lasting, trouble free cheap to run vehicle that makes you feel like you own a car that costs twice as much.
Cons: Nothing really, maybe a little more power, but it still pulls my camper trailer with ease.
Overall review: Great car, best Ive owned. I hope Ford keeps this car in its lineup for years to come because their new cars are becoming too european or japanese and dont suit the needs of many car buyers. The Crown Vic is a real winner and these cars could easily compete directly with the new Chrysler 300 when Ford updates them soon.
