Grace and Pace
by DesertJagMan on 06/17/2012.
Trim: 2005 Jaguar S-Type 4.2 R, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
Have had many cars (BMW, Porsche, Lincoln) - the last four (4) have been Jags and three (3) of those have been R models. Had a 2003 "R" that I purchased new and loved - so replaced it with a newer model. The 2005 S-type R is one of the all-time best. Comfortable for long trips, decent mileage, well-appointed interior and great paint. Looks good - Rides well - Spirited Acceleration. Just makes me feel good to get in and drive it. The R-Models have been greatly under-rated and under-appreciated. Quality is top notch - no more the days of old when Jags didn't maintain proper standards. The car is a pleasure.
Cons:
I wouldn't mind another 50 horsepower - but when this was built (7 years ago) 390-400 was just about as good as it got for a performance sedan.
Overall review:
Would recommend the marque to anyone. Grace and Pace. Gorgeous. The ads have it right.

Incredible Jaguar
by Stapleb from Minneapolis on 04/07/2009.
Trim: 2005 Jaguar S-Type 4.2, Owned 1 year.

Pros:
The style is superb, this car gets many looks and comments on what a great looking car it is. I also like the comfort of the interior, very warm, cozy interior.
Cons:
The heated seats really don't heat up much, in Minnesota a good seat warmer is needed and this car lacks just that. I also don't like the fact that you must have the climate control on just to know the outside temperature.
Overall review:
Excellent luxury car in style, comfort and preformance. I drove a Mercedes for about three years before switching to the Jaguar and I love it. I have not met one person that has not given this car a great review.

Pros:
This car is a real GEM! Love everything about it. I have owned this for 15 months and no problems whatsoever! I definitely would recommend this classy car to anyone!
Cons:
Only concern I have discovered is the side mirror on the passenger side. I am a petite woman, and it has been a large blind spot for me.
Overall review:
It is a wonderful car to take a trip in. The trunk is a bit small, so be prepared to use the back seat for luggage, but it is comfortable and easy riding.

My Fast Kitty

Pros:
This car excells in styling, engine power, acceleration, navigation, sound systems and hands free cell phone operation. All comfort features are well thought out and placed in appropriate positions on the instrument panel. The interior has quality written all over it and is very comfortable. The car handles very well and has excellent braking power. The cabin is tight, but comfortable and is very quiet.
Cons:
The trunk area is limited, entry in and out of the car is tight and the fuel economy with the supercharged engine is compromised.
Overall review:
I believe this car is the most outstanding product within the "sport sedan" catagory and within it's price range. It certainly has outstanding styling qualities, performance and driver operating comforts. It is utilizing modern technology and electronic features at the highest level. Features such as automatic emergency brake engagement and release, voice activation of phone, climate control, sound system and navigation places this automobile at the leading edge of technology. The acceleration and power of the supercharged engine is outstanding. The materials used for components of the interior are of the highest quality and the quality of the manufacturing process is very apparent. One must understand that the dislikes of this automobile are the compromises that a manufacturer must make in order to produce a "sports sedan" and are not a shortcoming of the manufacturer. This car is a joy to operate!

The Stereotypical Blonde Model
by Nick from Baumholder, Germany on 03/15/2011.
Trim: 2005 Jaguar S-Type 3.0, Owned 3 years.
Useful?
Pros:
It's beautiful, eye-catching and is a joy to drive.
Cons:
Simple things break on this car which make it annoying. For instance, there is 'a' screw that works the gear shifter, if it comes loose, you're STRANDED. The electronic park brake is, well, electronic. When it hiccups, you're STRANDED and can't be towed without someone cutting it (Yes, I said 'cutting'). Oh and the coolant reservoir can't hold anything, I'm on my second one. How many mile on my car, you ask? 69,000.
Overall review:
If you have money and a lot of time to spend a the dealer getting things fixed then by all means, buy a Jag. They are beautiful and fun to drive. Now, if you're on what I call "Budget luxury," and aren't in a position to be late or miss work because you're care broke down, I would stick with something American or Japanese.
