Very good car for value
by Tracy from Alberta on 11/25/2008.
Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sedan, Owned 4 years.

Pros:
Not as expensive as foreign vehicles, had a few minor problems while I still had full warranty but once the warranty has been off I have had no problems.
Cons:
Gas mileage could be better, but still not as bad as some cars. Some road noise but not noticeable when music is turned on and I have a rattle from the trunk but that's it.
Overall review:
As long as there is regular maintenance there shouldn't be any problems.

You have came a long way baby from your mid 80's Generation!
by Regretful and upset on 09/25/2008.
Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier Coupe, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
Bought mine new in 2005 have 85K on it now. Ecotec Engine is Very good on Gas. The accelataton is Ok to good on take off with the Standard trany. But, not so well with the auto tranys at the the pick-up and mid drive acceleration. It could use some more guts.
Cons:
I don't like that it's a little noisy. I can hear the plastic rattling everywere. Lot of road nosie. Standard trany. But, not so well with the auto tranys at the the pick-up and mid drive acceleration. It could use some more guts.
Overall review:
Low cost operator and reliable to drive. Nice body style. The 2004 & 2005 have came a long way from the Cavalier Coupe that my grandparents owned in the mid 80's

Great car for a first time driver.
by Daniel from Utah on 06/29/2008.
Trim: 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier LS Sedan, Owned 1 year.
1
Pros:
Fuel Economy
Acceleration and handling are as good or better than peer models.
Good features for an inexpensive car.
Rear seats fold down.
Cons:
Typical early 2000's Chevy fit and finish.
Road noise
Overall review:
My daughter and I bought this car for her last fall from the local Rent-a Wreck franchise.
We got a great deal for a car with 60k miles, and we got exactly what we hoped for -- an inexpensive, relliiable, economical and reasonably performing car for a first time driver.
