Awesome Mid-Sized Zippy Wagon
by Dan in Decatur, GA on 08/18/2012.
Trim: 2005 Volvo V50 T5, Owned 7 years.

Pros:
Great car overall. The pickup is fantastic, much better than my Saab 93 while also getting decent mileage (22city/28hwy). Like the interior, the leather is soft and comfortable. We've found the interior room to be sufficient for our 3 person family even when our child brings along a friend or if we have another couple with us. Have no concerns handing the keys over to my 16yo even with 90K miles on it.
Cons:
Nothing.
Overall review:
I'd highly recommend this car if you want something a bit larger than a sedan. The interior is as good as a small-mid sized SUV but handles so much better. Fun to drive.

love my volvo
by eric in westchester, ny on 11/21/2006.
Trim: 2005 Volvo V50 T5 AWD, Owned less than 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
the image one has of a volvo is that of a slow grandparents' car. but this little bugger flies. everyone who drives this cars knows how quickly it accelerates, and with that turbo engine whine....pure heaven when the driver of the bmw you just passed looks on in amazement that it was a volvo that just flew by. oh, and this thing sticks pretty well in high speed turns too. and that very cool, thin stereo/tempcontrol panel. very well designed.
Cons:
i'll tell you when i find out.
Overall review:
i would recommend this car to almost everyone except those who just need a big monster to drive around. from performance to fuel economics, this car has it all. when my mother, sister and her two children (8 and 11) visit, i have no poblem fitting them comfortably in the car.
before getting this car, i looked at cadillac srx, h2, h3 and all the crystler jeeps. the fit and finish on those things are horrible. leave it to the europeans to do it right.

Fun to drive but SMALL!
by glmb64 from New Mexico on 07/14/2006.
Trim: 2005 Volvo V50 T5, Owned 1 year.
Useful?
Pros:
Engine in the T5 is very fast and fun to drive; Gas mileage is very good; Safety features can't be beat. Upgraded sound system is excellent.
Cons:
I know it's a small wagon, but, man, does it feel cramped! When driving, it feels like I'm unusually low to the ground. Maintenance and repair costs can be expensive ($200 to replace ONE tire!).
Overall review:
If you need more storage capacity than a sedan and don't have a family, this would be a fun (and functional) vehicle to drive. But, with two toddlers (and all the stuff that comes with them), it really is smaller than we were thinking it would be.
