Trim: 1997 Ford Contour Base, Owned 6 years.
1
Pros:
The seats are comfortable, it is easy to drive on a dry day. Very efficient on gas.
Cons:
I own a 1997 Ford Contour and i have had nothing but problems with it. 8 months after i bought it the heater core plug went, i have had the windows fixed several times because the stick on opening or don't open at all. The motor mounts went on it, when the motor mounts should not of gone on a car that is only 6 years old. The bushings went. The car also hydro-planes in the rain so you have to becareful. The cup holders in the interior break quite easily and are very expensive to fix.
Overall review:
I wouldn't buy a ford contour again.

Overall review:
I thought I'll never buy a Ford. I had always owned a Chevy Lumina, But My car was totalled by a careless police offier and 2 month's ago I found this car at a dealership & fell in love with it the minute I sat in it. Driving it everyday is great. Tho This car is 7 years old and has only 117K miles.....it still runs great. It handles much smoother than my old 95 Chevy Lumina, the interior is still in excellent condition. I have to replace the O2 seansor but that's nothing you would not expect for a car its age. so if your looking for a mid-sized car that get's great mileage then the cartour SE is for you
And if U have a Haynes Repair Manual & tool set, U can do almost any service on the car yourself & save yourself ton's of $$$$$
