Bang For Your Buck by Cheryl from Arvada, CO on 06/04/2004. Trim: 2004 Subaru Baja Turbo, Owned less than 1 year.
Pros: Passenger compartment is designed for ease of driver without distraction (taking your eyes of the road, hands off the wheel). After comparison of price/equipment with most other SUV's in the small to medium size class, this vehicle provided the most bang for the least buck. Subaru also offered the highest vehicle resale and the least projected annual maintenance costs based on review of maintenance records of previous years models.
Cons: Subaru does not seem to be fully behind this vehicle as they are with the Forester. They do not include it in their marketing campaigns or incentive programs as strongly as the Outback or Forester models. I wonder how long they will manufacturer the Baja possibly reducing resale if it is discontinued soon.
Overall review: I love my Subaru Baja and would recommend it highly to anyone looking for the AWD capabilites of an SUV without the bulkyness of most models. It handles itself well in dicey road conditions (snow and ice) and masterfully in good conditions (very little roll, powerful cornering, smooth shifting of the automatic transmission in heavy traffic conditions). With the turbo it has more than enough acceleration and mountain climbing capabilities. I only wish Subaru would recognize its strengths and market it accordingly to prevent its discontinuation.

BAJA Car/truck by Golfo on 06/25/2005. Trim: 2004 Subaru Baja Sport, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I couldn't find a car that fits my lifestyle any better. i ride both mountain and road bikes and mounting them in the bed rather than the roof make a big difference when driving. it rides like a car and nothing like a truck
Cons: the accelaration is not very good. but then again they have the turbo now and i missed out on it.
Overall review: i would not recommend this vehicle if you have a kid over the age of 5, the rear seat doesn't give you much leg room. if towing family around isn't an issue for you then this is the car/truck of my dreams.

The ultimate car/truck by bajanut on 06/22/2005. Trim: 2004 Subaru Baja Turbo, Owned 1 year.
Pros: I love the fact that this is a car with a truck bed. It drives like a car and it has the fuel economy of a car, but the utility of a truck, even some off-roading.
Cons: built on the older outback frame. It would be a lot better if it were made on the new 05 outback frame and body stylings.
Overall review: This is the absolute best vehicle hat I have ever owned, which includes 4 other subarus. The subaru is an exclient reputation for longevity and the workmanship shows.
