Turbo'd Wagon
by CC from Calgary on 08/21/2007.
Trim: 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart, Owned 3 years.

Pros:
I loved teh extreme versatility of this car. All the storage space this car has is amazing. BEST bang for the buck. I would by another however Mitsubishi stopped making them.
Cons:
I found the "little" things that tend to break or scratch easily, panelling is great but the painting of the dash parts were un nessecary, they tend to scratch easy when simply cleaning them.
Overall review:
I do love the car, great practicality, fun platform and a unique, fun car to drive. I love mine and have went as far as being the first and only sportback that is turbo'd in North America.

sport utility wagon(suw)
by gunner from mn on 10/15/2006.
Trim: 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback LS, Owned 2 years.

Pros:
I call it my suw(sport utility wagon). I have hauled large loads in this wagon and it still has plenty of zip.
Cons:
gas milage for a smaller car is terrible. 63000 miles and I'm lucky if I've averaged 26 hwy. Headliner is very cheap looking and I have lots of stone chips on hood and pitting on back tail gate. Dealer siad it was due to design of wagon, that the jetta wagon does the same thing and it is about the same style of car.
Overall review:
I love the look and style of the car and have only had some rear bushing problems that mitsubishi took care of under warrenty. I would buy it again, its a great value thats fun to drive.

Happy Hauler
by An MSN Autos Consumer on 03/14/2004.
Trim: 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Sportback Ralliart, Owned less than 1 year.

Pros:
Room for stuff and handles somewhat Mini-like. Stiff suspension and good feel for the steering makes the car handle very responsive.
Cons:
"Throaty" exhaust tone makes it sound cheap. Would be nice to have a manual auto-mode like Mazda's 3 hatchback. Only 1 interior color combo. Seat adjustments are limited. Doesn't have a telescoping steering column like Mazda's 3
Overall review:
A very good small wagon that didn't forget that a wagon has to be able to haul things; and a great buy under $20K. You don't give up fun-to-drive just to be practical. Drivers position works for at least a 6'4" driver with some room behind the seat.
